Photo Gallery: Rumson-Fair Haven vs. Monmouth Regional Football

Running back Matt Vecchiarelli ran for 113 yards and a pair of touchdowns on 17 carries and junior quarterback Mike O’Connor had a 3-yard touchdown run and also threw a 24-yard touchdown pass to senior wide receiver John Kingdon as the Rumson-Fair Haven, ranked No. 5 in the Shore Sports Network Top 10, blanked Monmouth Regional in a Shore Conference Class A Central game on Saturday afternoon.

Vecchiarelli scored on a 6-yard run in the first quarter and a 33-yard run in the third quarter. Rumson's defense allowed just 76 total yards, including negative-1 yardss rushing in posting its second straight shutout to open the season.
