Every week this regular season, Shore Conference football fans will have their chance to vote for the Orthopaedic Institute of Central Jersey/Shore Sports Network Football Player of the Week on our website, with over 100,000 votes cast already this season.

The Player of the Week winner for the NJSIAA playoff semifinals is Manasquan junior running back Connor Morgan, who ran for 188 yards and two touchdowns on 39 carries and also threw a touchdown pass on a halfback option to lead the Warriors' offense in a 31-27 victory over Roselle in the Central Jersey Group II semifinals.

Morgan threw a 28-yard pass to senior wide receiver Damaso Jaime and ran for touchdowns of 11 and 1 yards, the second of which came on fourth-and-goal from the 1-yard line and gave the Warriors a 31-21 lead with 3:55 left in the fourth quarter. Morgan has been a huge part of Manasquan's return to prominence this season as the feature back in its physical rushing attack. He has 1,316 yards rushing and 14 touchdowns on the season for the 9-1 Warriors.

Manasquan will be making its 18th appearance in a state final and its first since 2009. The Warriors have a Shore Conference-record 11 sectional titles and will go for No. 12 when they take on Bernards at 7 p.m. on Saturday Dec. 3 at Kean University. Before that, however, they have a huge Thanksgiving matchup with rival Wall, which will also being playing for a state title in two weeks in South Jersey Group III. The Thanksgiving Day game will be broadcast by Shore Sports Network live on WOBM 1160/1310 AM, and also streamed right here on ShoreSportsNetwork.com.

It was Manasquan vs. Wall a few days early in the voting as Morgan edged Crimson Knights running back Sean Larkin by less than two percentage points. Larkin ran for 211 yards and five touchdowns in Wall's 49-21 win over Hamilton West to reach the South Jersey Group III finals.
