No. 10 Middletown South 3, Freehold Boro 2

Junior Shawn McCann scored two goals and senior Ollie Muniz added one for himself to help the Eagles outlast the Colonials.

No. 1 CBA 1, Middletown North 0

Senior Jack D'Eletto headed in a cross from classmate Will Thygeson in the 33rd minute and the Colts (9-2, 6-1) beat the Lions (5-5, 2-4) to wrap up the outright Class A North championship for the second straight season.

No. 3 Howell 3, No. 2 Freehold Twp. 2 (OT)

Senior Nick Spisak scored the golden goal early in overtime and the Rebels pulled out a thriller over the Patriots, ending Freehold Township's nine-game winning streak and clinching the Class A North public division championship.

Freehold Township tied the game with a penalty kick by senior Noah Jones in the final two minutes. Howell had taken the lead just five minutes earlier on a goal by senior J.P. Candela.

Howell jumped out to a 1-0 lead on a goal by senior R.J. Eckelman.

Jones also assisted an equalizer by classmate Tim Berrtscha in the 38th minute, with Bertscha skying for a header on Jones's free kick.

 

Class A Central

No. 7 Rumson-Fair Haven 5, Raritan 2

Sophomore Ronan Hogg scored or assisted all four of Rumson's goals in the second half and the Bulldogs bombarded the Rockets after trailing at halftime to clinch a share of the Class A Central title with Holmdel and Wall.

Hogg scored the equalizer and the go-ahead goal within one minute of one another in the 49th and 50th minutes, with seniors Alec Pentikis and Jacob Brown assisting the conversions.

Pentikis tacked on a goal off a pass from Hogg in the 67th and Hogg set up the second goal of the game by senior Antonio Santos in the 77th.

Senior Lucas Hutnik gave Raritan a 1-0 lead off a feed from Jack Granite in the fifth minute before Santos answered with the equalizer in the 24th off a pass from junior Declan Fry.

No. 4 Holmdel 4, Shore 0

Wall 4, Red Bank Catholic 0

Junior Nick Damiano notched a hat trick and senior Chris Miller contributed a goal as well to pace the Crimson Knights to a win over the Caseys, clinching them a share of the Class A Central tri-championship.

 

Class A South

Jackson Memorial 1, No. 8 Toms River North 0 (OT)

Senior Tom McChesney scored on a 25-yard direct kick in the eighth minute of overtime and the Jaguars denied the Mariners the outright Class A South championship, for the moment, while securing a spot in the Shore Conference Tournament.

Toms River South 5, Brick Memorial 1

Junior Kenny Caruso posted a first-half hat trick, including two goals within the span of a minute, and the Indians coasted to a win over the Mustangs.

Sophomore Caden Langan added a goal in the second half and assisted Caruso's third goal, while senior Jon Fitzgerald assisted a pair of goals -- one by Caruso and another by senior Justin Villamizer.

 

Class B North

Neptune 2, Long Branch 2

Seniors Jeremy Hernandez and Anthony Vasquez each each scored a goal for Long Branch and the Green Wave settled for a draw vs. the Scarlet Fliers, but managed to keep their hopes of a Class B North co-championship alive.

Junior Kervins Lafortune scored for Neptune and senior Ernst Louisius converted a penalty kick for the Scarlet Fliers.

No. 9 Colts Neck 7, Red Bank 1

Senior Jairo Chira and sophomore Kyle Moore each scored two goals and Chira assisted three others as the Cougars cruised to a win over the Bucs to clinch no worse than a share of the Class B North championship.

Senior Jeff DeCarvalho scored the tiebreaking goal in the 17th minute to give Colts Neck the lead for good at 2-1. Nick Mavika added a goal on a penalty kick to go with two assists and Tim Foley added a second-half goal for Colts Neck after the Cougars went into the half leading, 6-1.

Danny Dougan scored the Red Bank goal in the 16th minute to even up the score, 1-1.

Ocean 4, St. John Vianney 1

Senior Dan Abrams scored two goals and assisted one more to lead the Spartans to a win over the Lancers. Senior Stephen Aliaj and junior Alexander Korolev each added a goal for Ocean.

 

Class B South

Jackson Liberty 2, Lakewood 0

Senior Connor Yurgel scored two goals in the first half and the Lions moved to within one win of clinching a share of the Class B South championship. Jackson Liberty can win a share of the division title for the first time in program history by beating Manchester later this month.

 

Non-Division

Point Beach 1, Barnegat 0

Senior Colin Hutton knocked in a cross in the 37th minute and the Garnet Gulls made it hold up in a win over the Bengals that knocked Barnegat out of the running for a spot in the Shore Conference Tournament.
