Colts Neck 2, Jackson Liberty 1

Senior Matt Bartelli assisted two Colts Neck goals in the second half, including the game-winner by senior Josh Applebaum in the 77th minute to give the Cougars a comeback win over the Lions.

Sophomore Kyle Moore tied the game with a goal in the 41st minute on a shot from eight yards out after he collected a cross from Bartelli.

In the 77th, Bartelli beat two defenders to the right end-line and played a low cross that made it to the back post. Applebaum got to the spot and finished from close range to give Colts Neck the lead.

Senior Gerard Cerino staked Jackson Liberty to a 1-0 lead with a goal in the 33rd minute.

Monmouth 2, Freehold Boro 0

Seniors Sean Wisk and Will Taborda each scored a goal and the Falcons shut down the Colonials for their second straight win after dropping the first two.

No. 7 Neptune 2, Middletown North 1

Junior Kervins Lafortune scored the game-winning goal in the 73rd minute and the Scarlet Fliers clipped the Lions for their fourth straight win since an opening-day loss to Ocean. Senior Ernst Louisius scored the first Neptune goal.

Junior Josiah Stepney scored off a pass from junior Matt Silva to get Middletown North on the board.

No. 10 Wall 0, St. John Vianney 0

St. John Vianney senior Matt Brana saved 13 Wall shots to help the Lancers earn a draw vs. the Crimson Knights.

No. 9 Manasquan 1, St. Rose 0

Senior Aidan Sugrue one-timed a volley from six yards out off a corner kick from sophomore Christian Gonzalez midway through the second half and the Warriors held on to beat the Purple Roses, with sophomore Dylan Morris earning the shutout in goal.

No. 5 Holmdel 1, Jackson Memorial 0

Senior Colin Hynes scored the game's lone goal off a pass from Aidan Hynes and the Hornets held on to beat the Jaguars on the road for their fifth straight win to open the season.

Howell 3, Matawan 0

Senior J.P. Candela assisted a goal by classmate Nick Spisak to open the scoring in the 52nd minute, then scored in the 65th to spark the red-hot Rebels to a win over the Huskies.

Sophomore Nick Turturro continued his strong start with another goal in the 75th minute, giving him one goal in each of Howell's first five games.

Ranney 3, Calvary Christian 2 (OT)

Dev Nayer scored his second goal of the game to send the game into overtime and Eddie Magherini scored the golden goal in extra time to deliver the Panthers a come-from-behind win.

No. 1 CBA 2, Delran 0

Senior Jack D'Eletto broke a scoreless deadlock in the 49th minute and set up a goal by junior Dimitry Corba in the 74th as the Colts rolled through the defending Group II champion Bears.

D'Eletto took a pass from senior Charlie Papardella on the right side, blew by a defender and finished inside the near right post to put the game's first goal on the board.

In the 74th, D'Eletto again beat a defender, this time on the left side, and skipped a cross toward the middle of the field. Junior Dylan Millevoi dummied the ball to set up Corba for a clean look and Corba struck a left-footed shot to the lower right corner of the goal.
