Wednesday, June 17:

Mystic Island Post 493 (6) - TRS Post 129 (3)

Joey Ventresca pitch five innings to get the win for Mystic Island, giving up two earned runs on four hits and striking out six, while also going 3-for-3 with an RBI. Noah Dean pitched two innings of scoreless relief, striking out four, for the save.

Jared Strang added three hits and a run scored, and David Lunn finished 2-for-4 with a triple and two RBI in the win.

Lacey (5) - Donovan Catholic (0)

Tom Corragio threw six shutout innings with five strikeouts to improve to 2-0, and Lucas Bivona had an RBI triple for Lacey in the win.

Point Boro (4) - TR North (3)

Point Boro beat Toms River North after taking a 4-0 lead into the sixth inning before holding off a comeback bid by the Mariners.

Sophmore Thomas Paul picked up the win on the mound, pitching 4 2/3 innings and striking out eight. Returning from an injury suffered in the first inning of the varsity regular season, junior Frank Graziano pitched 1 1/3 innings and struck out two. Junior Tim Rossi closed out the game and earned the save.

Junior Bill Feehan had two doubles and an RBI, and Frank Graziano also had a double and two RBI in the win.
