No. 3 Middletown South 6, Long Branch 0

Sophomore Mike Keenan went the distance for a five-hit shutout and the Eagles blanked the Green Wave to clinch the outright Class A North championship for the second time in four years.

Middletown South played in Class B North in each of the past two seasons and prior to that, the Eagles won at least a share of the overall division title in four out of five seasons - giving Middletown South division titles in five out of eight seasons and five out of the last six in which the Eagles have been in A North.

Winning pitcher Jake Tennant homered and drove in four to lead the Rockets (8-9, 8-6) to a rout of the Blue Devils (5-13, 4-10). Junior D.J. Dekis also drove in four and senior Shawn Ohea was 4-for-5 with three RBI for Raritan.

No. 5 Red Bank Catholic 8, St. Rose 0

Senior Vincent Bianchi went 2-for-4 with a double an four RBI to back junior pitcher John Nimeth as the Caseys (15-3, 14-0) shut out the Purple Roses (2-14, 2-12) to complete a perfect run through Class A Central.

Nimeth allowed three hits and a walk over six scoreless innings while striking out two to improve to 6-0.

Junior Jack Scrivani was 1-for-2 with a double and an RBI, junior Chris Sparber was 2-for-4 and junior Rob Gonzalez went 2-for-5 in the win.

Holmdel 2, Monmouth 1

Senior Mike Iulo singled home senior Jason Lyons with the game-winning run in the bottom of the seventh and the Hornets walked off with a win over the Falcons to cap the division schedule for both teams.

No. 7 Manasquan 8, Rumson-Fair Haven 7 (11 Innings)

The Warriors orchestrated game-tying rallies in the bottom of the both the seventh and ninth innings and won it when junior John Foreman's shallow fly ball dropped to score the winning run in the bottom of the 11th.

Forman hit a two-run double in the bottom of the seventh to cut the Rumson lead to 5-4 and Manasquan tied it on a sacrifice fly by junior Hayden Kunz.

Rumson grabbed the lead in the top of the ninth on a sacrifice fly by sophomore Thomas Elgrim and added an extra run on the same play thanks to a Manasquan throwing error.

The Warriors again responded in the bottom the ninth, with Pat Woodford singling home the first run and winning pitcher Alex Wells tying it with his pop-up that was dropped to score the tying run.

After plating three runs in the final inning, Matawan loaded the bases with two out before senior Arden Underwood recorded the final out on a 3-2 ground ball to Ron Cole at first base to help the Scarlet Fliers avoid a seventh-inning collapse and salvage a split with the Huskies.

Senior Jackson Hercek hit a two-run home run and Ben Poricelli delivered a two-out RBI single before two more Huskies reached.

Cole opened the scoring with a solo homer in the first inning - his sixth homer of the season and third straight game with a long ball. Junior John Gannon hit a two-run home run in the fourth and homered again in the sixth for what proved to be the game-winning run.
