Senior Joe Escandon overcame an unearned run in the first inning to pitch a two-hitter and hand the Braves their first defeat of the season.
Tommy DiTullio and Anthony Celestre each had RBI groundouts to push CBA in front and Mason Wolf doubled home a run with two out in the second to cap the scoring.

Senior Ryan Kurczeski fired a three-hit shutout to extend his scoreless innings streak to 17 games and the Patriots (9-7, 7-5) beat the Colonials (4-12, 3-9) to sweep the regular-season series between the two crosstown rivals.
Kurczeski pitched a no-hitter in his last start against Long Branch and previously pitched a complete game in a win over St. Rose in the Monmouth County Tournament opening round. On Thursday, the senior struck out three, walked two and threw 86 pitches.
Senior Brandon Smith and sophomore Chris Corchado each went 2-for-3 with an RBI to lead the offense, with Smith going deep for a solo home run and scoring two runs as well.
Junior Kyle Wenrich took the loss for Freehold Boro and threw 84 pitches in five innings.

Senior Justin Lautenberg drew a walk with the bases loaded in the bottom of the 11th to end a marathon Hornets win over the Bulldogs.
Sophomore Thomas Elgrim gave Rumson a 5-4 lead in the top of the ninth with an RBI double, but Holmdel answered in the bottom of the inning when senior starter Jason Lyons was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded.
