Every week this regular season, Shore Conference football fans will have their chance to vote for the Lezgus Plumbing/Shore Sports Network Football Player of the Week on our website, with tens of thousands of votes cast this week and over 100,00 votes cast this season.

The Week 11 recipient is Brick Memorial senior quarterback Tim Santiago, who ran for 157 yards and a touchdown and also threw a touchdown pass in the Mustangs' 28-7 victory over Allentown in the semifinals of the NJSIAA Central Jersey Group IV playoffs. Santiago threw a 23-yard touchdown pass to senior Elie Lavarin on the final play of the first half to give Brick Memorial a 21-7 halftime lead. He added a three-yard touchdown run to clinch the Mustangs' sixth trip to a sectional final and first since 2010.

Santiago is second in the Shore Conference with 1,566 yards rushing and has scored 15 touchdowns on the ground. He needs 17 yards to pass Central's Mike Bickford for the conference lead, and Central has concluded its season. Brick Memorial has one game left, the Central Jersey Group IV final against Class A South rival Jackson Memorial on Dec. 5 at Rutgers University.

The fans recognized the frequently-nominated Santiago with 48 percent of the vote to beat out Jackson Memorial senior Kyle Johnson, who ran for 128 yards with two total touchdowns and an interception on defense in the Jaguars' 56-10 win over Steinert that also put them into the Central Jersey Group IV final.
