Semifinals

At Monmouth University

2-Southern 7, 3-CBA 4

Down 4-1 with 3:07 left in the third quarter, Southern (15-1) scored the game's final six goals for a scintillating come-from-behind victory over the Colts (12-3) to reach the Shore Conference Tournament championship game for the second year in a row. Shawn McManus tallied the game-winning goal with 8:46 left in the fourth quarter, and Dylan Jinks and Brendan Mullen added goals to complete the comeback. Jinks and Mullen each finished with three goals and one assist, and junior goalie Brendan Lefanto made 13 saves. Senior FOGO Billy Dowd went 8-of-14 on face-offs, including going 4-for-5 in the fourth quarter.

Matt McGuiness scored twice for CBA and Thomas Deiner had a goal and two assists. Mike Convery had one goal and Evan Bynoe made 14 saves.

Southern will play top-seeded  Rumson-Fair Haven in the championship game, 4 p.m. on Tuesday at Monmouth University. It is a rematch of last season's title game won by Rumson, 14-5.

 

1-Rumson-Fair Haven 15, 12-Colts Neck 3

Dominic Padula. Colin Shea and Lucas Seckler each scored three goals, and Chris Hubler and Robbie Garavante each notched two goals and one assist as the Bulldogs (13-3) hammered the Cougars (9-5) to reach the Shore Conference Tournament final for the sixth consecutive season. Seamus Walsh and Matt Waters also tallied for Rumson, while Bryce Metzger made 12 saves in three quarters of action.

Andrew Anzalone scored twice and Rob Heller added a goal for Colts Neck. Andrew Halmi made 12 saves.

Rumson will play No. 2 seed Southern in the SCT title game, 4 p.m. on Tuesday at Monmouth University. It is a rematch of last season's final won by Rumson, 14-5. The Bulldogs are attempting to become the first team to win four straight SCT titles.
