Season Summary

The defending JSBL champions lost their opener to top-seeded WCT, then Justin Robinson showed up and transformed them into a team that looks poised to make a serious run at a repeat. The former Monmouth scored 40 points in his first game of the season to get his team in the win column and that was well short of a typical game for him over the past couple of seasons.

Robinson scored 60 points in a win over Sea Shore Auto, then went off for 64 in a 20-point loss to Stern’s Trailer, led by a former Seton Hall duo in Myles Cale and Shavar Reynolds. Robinson finished up a torrid three-game stretch with 56 points in a win over RKE Athletic that helped lock up the No. 3 seed in the playoff field.

Sea View made it four wins in five games with a win over Assistive Choices Inc., led by Robinson (31 points) and Christian Brothers Academy alum Matt McMullen (27) and finished off the season with a loss to Larson Ford in which Robinson went for 42.

Sea View will be off for the opening round of the playoffs on Thursday and awaits the winning of a first-round showdown between Larson Ford and Seashore Auto, with the second round set for Monday at Manasquan High School.
