Every week this spring, Jersey Mike’s and Shore Sports Network will be teaming up to select a Lacrosse Team of the Week based on its performance over the past week.

The Jersey Mike's Team of the Week for Week 6 is Rumson-Fair Haven, which captured the 2022 Shore Conference Tournament championship with a victory over Wall to add to its record title haul. Shore Sports Network stopped by practice on Thursday to present the Bulldogs and head coach Marc Moreau with a Team of the Week certificate and a $250 Jersey Mike's gift card.

Facing third-seeded Wall in the SCT final at Monmouth University, the top-seeded Bulldogs pulled away with a four-goal third quarter on their way to a 12-7 victory and a second straight conference championship. Senior midfielder Tommy French scored three goals and assisted on two others and junior attackman Cole Cashion posted three goals and one assist to help lead the way. Freshman attackman Grayson Goldin scored twice and senior midfielder Jack McCarren, senior midfielder Philip Passalaqua, junior attackman Quinn Stankovits, and junior defenseman Beau Kemler each scored once.

Rumson jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first quarter but Wall rallied to take a 4-3 lead in the late stages of the second quarter. Kemler's end-to-end goal off a ground ball in his own zone tied the score 4-4 and helped set the tone for RFH to break the game open coming out of halftime. Wall closed the gap to two goals on a pair of occasions but junior goalie Will Setteducate came up with some crucial saves in the fourth quarter to help preserve another SCT title for Rumson.

The Bulldogs' eight SCT titles are the most in Shore Conference history. They have also appeared in 13 of the 17 SCT championship games since the tournament's first year in 2005.

Rumson was 5-0 in total with SCT wins over Brick Memorial (17-2), Red Bank (15-2), Christian Brothers Academy (16-6), and Wall. They followed up the championship by opening the NJSIAA South Group 2 playoffs with a 19-1 victory over Oakcrest.

The Bulldogs began the season as the No. 1 team in the Shore Sports Network Top 10 and haven't moved from their perch at all. They will bring a 17-4 record and the No. 7 ranking in the state (NJ.com) into Friday's sectional quarterfinal game vs. Cranford.
