The Jersey Mike’s Team of the Week for Week Nine is Shore Regional, which defeated  Asbury Park 20-7 to clinch the outright Class B Central title for the third straight season and run its program-record winning streak to 16 games. The victory also gave the undefeated Blue Devils the No. 1 seed in the NJSIAA Central Jersey Group I playoffs, where they are the defending champions. The Blue Devils and head coach Mark Costantino were presented with a special game ball at practice on Tuesday by Jersey Mike’s Area Director Chad Tirpack. The players were also treated to free Jersey Mike’s subs.

Senior running back Jack Britton ran for 105 yards and two touchdowns and senior running back Doug Goldsmith ran for 130 yards as Shore's running game wore down the Blue Bishops. George Notte added field goals of 32 and 34 yards and Shore's defense continued its fantastic season by holding Asbury Park's potent offense to under 50 yards.

The Blue Devils opens their sectional title defense at home against Burlington City (3-5) on Friday night.

Shore is the ninth recipient of the Jersey Mike’s Team of the Week award this season, which is selected by the Shore Sports Network staff.
