In our Jersey Mike's Game of the Week, Jackson Memorial and Brick Township faced off for the 11th time since 2012. In that time period (which includes three playoff match-ups), the Green Dragons held a 6-4 advantage although the Jaguars won two of their three playoff contests. Jackson lost both games a season ago while getting outscored 41-10 in the process. The script was flipped on Friday night, though; after an early Brick touchdown run, the Jaguars put up 28 unanswered points en route to a 28-14 win over the Green Dragons. Jackson Memorial evened their record at 2-2 with the victory while Brick fell to 1-3. Jackson and Brick will prepare to play Colonial Division contests in Week 4—the Jaguars will be at home against 2-1 St. John Vianney while Brick will travel to play 1-3 Freehold Boro.

Special congratulations to our Ocean Trophies Player of the Game, Jackson Memorial junior RB Will Towns. Towns accumulated 242 yards on the ground and found the end zone four times in the win.
