For the first time ever the Monmouth University football team has earned a national ranking as the Hawks are 24th in the NCAA FCS Coaches Poll released on Monday. Monmouth stretched its winning streak to five games and improved to 7-1 on the season following a 23-20 victory at Charleston Southern this past Saturday. The Hawks are 2-0 in the Big South for the first time since entering the league and tied with Kennesaw State (25th this week in the FCS rankings) for first place in the conference.

Monmouth will host conference rival Presbyterian (3-5, 0-2) this Saturday at Kessler Stadium in a game that will air on ESPN3 with kickoff scheduled for 1:05 p.m.
