No. 2 Rumson-Fair Haven 13, Shore 3

Senior attackman Robbie Garavente had a hat trick and sophomore midfielder Bryan Hess finished with two goals and two assists to power the Bulldogs (3-4) past the Blue Devils (3-5) in West Long Branch.

Charlie Curran had two goals and an assist and Lucas Seckler and Seamus Walsh also scored twice. Kyle Knapp made six saves.

Max Sobrano scored twice and Hunter Avallone made 11 saves for Shore.

 

St. John Vianney 6, Red Bank 5 (OT)

Andrew Porretta scored the game-winning goal off a pass from Ryan Gilfillan in overtime to send the Lancers (3-5) to a thrilling win over the Bucs (3-6) in Holmdel.

Porretta finished with a game-high three goals while Matt Adelfio had a goal and two assists. Tino D'Amore and Tom Hanson also scored for the Lancers, while Gilfillan and Rich Mullarkey had two assists each. D.J. Soriano finished with 15 saves.

Cole Smolokoff and Dan Vilardi each scored twice and Brian Fagan added a goal for the Bucs.

 

Holmdel 5, Ranney 4

Tom Rogan scored twice, including the go-ahead goal with six minutes left to play, to lift the Hornets (2-4) past the Panthers (0-4). Holmdel was down 4-2 entering the fourth quarter before rallying for the win.

Jack Kapcsos added a goal and two assists and Justin Ruiz made eight saves.

Ian Farber made 21 saves for Ranney, which received goals from Jack Torpey, Matt Torpey, Cam Newman and Eric Stavola.

No. 5 Howell 17, Toms River South 1

Jake Sherman scored a game-high five goals and added one assist, Mark Buannic had a hat trick and two assists and Drew Bukowiec had a goal and three assists as the Rebels (7-1) dominated the Indians (0-4) in Howell.

Junior Nick Chianca and sophomore Ryan Choffey both scored their first varsity goals, while Ian Colmorgan made seven saves.

 

No. 7 Freehold Township 10, No. 6 Red Bank Catholic 4

Mike Ferdinandi had a hat trick, Kevin Patten scored twice and Billy Sasso had a goal to go along with an 11-for-11 performance in the face-off circle to lead the Patriots (6-3) past the Caseys (4-2) in Freehold Township.

Brandon Nunez added three assists while John Poole, Mike Colicchia, Josh Nastarowicz and Chris Novella also tallied for the Patriots. Freehold Township's defensive unit of Mike O'Brien, Collin Bitsko, Ty Sebor and Mike DeBaere along with goalie's Billy Patten and Matt Schroepfer (10 saves) led the way in cooling off an RBC offense that entered having scored 55 goals in its three prior games. RBC had just 17 shots and scored just twice after the first quarter.

Tim Barile had a goal and two assists, Alec Mintz had a goal and an assist and Brett Habich and James Mele also scored for the Caseys. Matt Benjamin made nine saves.

 

No. 10 Toms River North 5, St. Rose 4

 

Colts Neck 5, Jackson Memorial 4 (OT)

Junior attackman Thijs Smith sank a game-high five goals. including the game-winner in overtime as the Cougars (3-3) clipped the Jaguars (2-5) in Jackson.

Vinnie Gargiulo added a goal and an assist and Jack Schaefer had three assists. Andrew Halmi made 15 saves to help the Cougars win their third straight game, all of which have come by one goal.

Eric Quaranta scored twice and Billy Plungis and Jared Calhoun also tallied for the Jaguars. Dylan Furnback made 15 saves.

 

Middletown North 11, Toms River East 4

Senior midfielder Jordan Robinson scored four times and junior attackman Ryan Aker had a goal and five assists to send the Loins (7-3) past the Raiders (0-4).

 

Wall 15, Neptune 0

Mike Steppe sank five goals, Michael McIntyre notched a hat trick, Thomas Jenkins scored twice and added four assists and Dylan Bosco tallied twice to lead the Crimson Knights (5-1) past the Scarlet Fliers (1-6) in Wall.

No. 3 CBA 18, Peddie 8

Sophomore attackman Nick Casner exploded for six goals and four assists and junior attackman Shay Walscak added four goals to lead the Colts (5-2) past the Falcons (1-5) in Hightstown.

John Salcedo and Justin Shea-Katz each scored twice while Mike Carroll contributed a goal and three assists.
