Monroe, NJ- It took a little bit for Manasquan to get into Thursday nights game against Sterling, but once they did there was no holding the Warriors back from reaching their third straight Group 2 Championship game.

Sterling jumped out to an early 6-0 lead before Manasquan finished the quarter on an 11-0 run.  Manasquan did not stop there as they opened 12-8 run in the second quarter to go into the half with a 23-14 lead.

The Warriors got a scare late in the second quarter when Dara Mabrey went up for a rebound and banged her head on the floor on the play.  She was able to walk off on her own and was cleared to play at halftime.

The sophomore led all scorers with 21 points, 13 of them in the second half after the injury. The Warriors also got production from Stella Clark with 8 points, Addie Masonius with 9 point, Faith Masonius with 5 points and 10 rebounds and Nikki Srevens with 4 points.

Manasquan used every part of their Warrior mentality Thursday night against a physical Sterling team and showed that they are more than just a finesse team.  The Warriors opened up a 16 point lead and held off Sterling who got to within two late before Manasquan but the game away at the foul line.

Manasquan will now face High Point this Sunday March 13th at 2pm at Pine Belt Arena.  The Warriors are looking to capture their 3rd straight Group 2 title.
