Toms River East 45, Southern 36

The Raiders (8-5. 6-3) closed the game with 17-9 flurry in the fourth. Senior guard Jordyn Madigan deposited 10 of her 17 points from the foul line for Toms River East while sophomore guard Kelleen Sullivan scored 10.

Sam Del Rio had 14 points and Sarah Lally 10 for Southern (8-6, 5-4).

Non-Divisional

Donovan Catholic 51, Middletown South 44

Senior Tatjana Tatar and sophomore Olivia Conroy netted six points each in the fourth and the Griffins (12-5) were practically lights out at the line over the closing eight minutes, going 11 of 12 at the stripe to fend off Middletown South (8-5).

Donovan Catholic, which got 15 points from junior guard Jordyn Keating, 14 from Tatar with Conroy adding nine, opened a 41-29 but the Eagles used a 9-0 run, capped by a 3-pointer from Beth Rankin, to close the gap to 41-38, midway through the fourth.

Senior swing Kayla Richardson finished with 18 points and 15 rebounds for Middletown South and senior guard Stephanie Mayerhofer netted 15.

Central at Pinelands, 5:30

No. 8 Jackson Memorial 59, Point Boro 24

Senior guard Kristina Donza pumped in 26 points to go with 12 rebounds and six steals for Jackson Memorial (13-2), which extended its win streak to eight. Junior guard Rachel Capua finished with 17 points and eight steals, senior guard Ally Vella cleared eight boards and senior point guard Bianca Giordano dealt out eight assists for the Jags.

Sophomore guard Gen Fara had nine points and five rebounds while sophomore guard Molly Burns grabbed eight boards for Point Boro (5-8).

Non-Conference

Florence 59, Asbury Park 37

Tyasia Cooper poured in 30 points in a losing cause for Asbury Park (8-7), which trailed, 23-17, at the half before Florence (10-4) put together a 20-9 rush in the third.
