Senior guard Caitlin O'Connor led four players in double figures with 11 points, including three 3-pointers, for the Eagles (8-4, 7-1), who used a 38-17 burst that spanned the second and third quarters to open a 47-28 cushion.
Senior swing Kayla Richardson, senior guard Stephanie Mayerhofer and sophomore swing Renee Well each contributed 10 points to the Middletown South cause.
Howell (7-6, 3-5) got 10 points from junior guard Grace Leary, eight points out of sophomore guard Mackenzi Greene and eight rebounds from junior guard Mackenzie Bruno.
Freehold Twp. 57, Freehold 29
Junior forward Hannah Orloff flipped in 15 points and Sarah Fenton, the lone Patriot celebrating Senior Night, spreadheaded a strong defensive showing by Freehold Twp. (11-4, 5-3).
Junior guard Lindsay Lloyd added 10 points, junior forward Courtney Campbell scored nine and junior guard Tanya Elsbree finished with eight for the Patriots, who parlayed a 16-0 run in the second quarter into a 33-10 halftime lead.
Sophomore guard Maddie Bideaux hit four threes and totaled 12 points for the Colonials (2-13, 0-8).
A Central
No. 7 Manasquan 40, No. 5 Rumson-Fair Haven 38
Sophomore swing Mary Donnelly canned three 3-pointers and totaled a season-high 19 points to go with 11 rebounds as Manasquan (10-5) used a 15-6 surge in the second quarter to establish a 21-15 gap at the break.
Sophomore forward Dorothy Loffredo collected seven points and 13 rebounds while sophomore swing Georgia Heine deposited nine for the Warriors.
Senior guard Paige Slaven led Rumson-Fair Haven (11-4, 6-3) with 18 points and senior forward Lucy Adams ended with eight rebounds, three assists and two blocked shots.
Holmdel 39, Raritan 25
Sophomore forward Abbey Ferguson collected nine points, six boards and two blocked shots for the Hornets (7-8, 4-5), who raced to a 15-4 lead after one quarter and used a 22-10 showing over the final two quarters to seal the outcome.
Senior guard Carson Fontana chipped in with eight points, five rebounds and three steals for Holmdel.
Junior guard Lucy Alberici led all scorers with 13 for Raritan (4-9, 1-8).
B North
Middletown North 33, Wall 31
Senior guard Hayley Stratton picked the best time to sink her only bucket of the contest, scoring at the buzzer to lift the Lions (6-8, 4-5). Junior guard Victoria Palladino counted three 3-pointers among her game-high 17 points and 6-1 junior forward Sophia Memon cleared 11 rebounds and blocked four shots for Middletown North.
Senior guard Nikki Russo scored 10 points and classmate Abby Nonnenberg grabbed 11 boards for Wall (4-11, 2-7), which held a 9-4 lead after one quarter and a 13-12 edge at the break.
