Always a highlight of the winter sports season the 2016 Shore Conference Basketball Tournament officially gets underway on Tuesday, February 16th with play-in games around the shore area and concludes with a championship doubleheader on Saturday, February 27th at Monmouth University.

The Shore Sports Network will be your complete source for coverage of this marquee event which will be seeded Sunday during a meeting of the seeding committee at Red Bank Catholic. The pairings and brackets will be released following that meeting on shoresportsnetwork.com

Rumson-Fair Haven is back to defend the boys title they won last year (their first ever) and with Brendan Barry back they are a threat to repeat but face a deep and somewhat wide open field that will include CBA, Mater Dei Prep, Toms River North and Ranney.   On the girls side Manasquan will seek their third consecutive SCT championship in what should be a top-heavy field with powerful St. John Vianney, Rumson-Fair Haven, St. Rose and Middletown South.

The Shore Sports Network will have daily coverage throughout the tournament, including live broadcasts of the semifinals and finals (boys and girls) on News Talk Radio WOBM AM 1160/1310 and streaming at shoresportsnetwork.com.
