Class A North

No. 9 Midd. South 30, Freehold Twp. 16
Drew O'Connell ran for a pair of touchdowns and Kyle Brey threw a 62-yard touchdown pass to Nolan Pereless to lead the Eagles (3-2, 2-1) past the Patriots (1-4, 1-2). Jeremy Concepcion also ran for a touchdown and Matt Mosquera kicked a 37-yard field goal for Middletown South.

Sophomore Nick Galanti kicked a 27-yard field goal and junior Tyree Wilson caught a 17-yard touchdown for Freehold Township.

Class A Central

No. 1 RB Catholic 62, Holmdel 10
Senior running back Larry Redaelli  ran for 201 yards and three touchdowns on just 10 carries as the Caseys (6-0, 4-0) won their 30th straight game against a Shore Conference opponent. Senior quarterback Pat Toomey threw a touchdown pass and sophomore quarterback Eddie Hahn ran for a 38-yard touchdown. Frank Olmo and Tom Spernal also ran for touchdowns for RBC.

Senior Bruno Lins and sophomore Mike Wilen each ran for their first varsity touchdowns while junior John Portela caught his first varsity touchdown.

Holmdel is 1-5 and 1-3 in A Central.

No. 6 Rumson-FH 28, Raritan 6
Junior running back Charlie Volker ran for three touchdowns, including two 60-plus yard scores in the third quarter, to keep the Bulldogs (5-0, 3-0) undefeated. Senior quarterback Chase Caruso threw an 80-yard touchdown pass to senior Melquan Reevey for Rumson's other score.

Raritan falls to 1-5 and 1-3 in A Central.

Class A South

Brick Mem. 37, TR North 21
Senior fullback Dwayne Gudge ran for over 150 yards and three touchdowns as Brick Memorial (4-2, 2-2) won its third straight game and kept the Mariners (0-5, 0-4) out of the win column. Senior quarterback Rob Triano started in place of injured junior Joe Hans (hamstring) and ran for a 63-yard touchdown and threw a 20-yard touchdown to Karl Kumm.

Assante Moorer scored a rushing touchdown, freshman quarterback Mike Husni threw a 36-yard touchdown pass to Rolono Bromell and senior Jacob Forlenza had a fumble return for a touchdown for Toms River North.

TR East 42, No. 10 Brick 35
Raiders senior running back Matt Gudzak exploded for over 200 yards rushing and four total touchdowns, including a 49-yard touchdown catch in the fourth quarter, to key an upset of Brick (4-2, 3-1) and knock the Dragons out of a share of first place in Class A South.

Jeff Wood added two touchdowns for East (2-4, 1-3), which has scored 42 points in three of its last four games after being shut out in its first two games.

Carmen Sclafani ran for two touchdowns and Anthony Starego went 5-for-5 on extra points for Brick.

Class B North

Matawan 9, Wall 7
Mike Creamer kicked three field goals, including the game-winner from 26 yards out with 41.8 seconds left in the game, to lift the Huskies (3-2, 2-2) past the Crimson Knights (3-3, 2-2). Creamer also connected on kicks from 23 and 33 yards. Wall scored on a 23-yard pass from Jack Gifford to Geoff Horowitz.

Class B South

Msgr. Donovan 36, Pinelands 7
Joey Fields ran for touchdowns of 99 and 28 yards, Vinnie Grasso scored on a 50-yard run and Ray Gantt added a touchdown run to give Griffins' (3-2, 3-1) head coach Dan Duddy his 100th career coaching victory.

No. 7 Barnegat 23, Central 7
The Bengals moved into sole possession of first place in Class B South and improved to 5-0 for the first time in program history by topping the Golden Eagles (3-2, 3-1).

Junior quarterback Cinjun Erskine threw and ran for a touchdown, wide receiver Ryan Ulrich caught a touchdown and kicked a 27-yard field goal and A.J. Opre ran for a score to push Barnegat to 4-0 in the division. Opre finished with 124 yards rushing on 25 carries. Defensive back Ricky Gerena had two interceptions to give him a Shore-leading 5 for the season.

Manchester 34, Point Boro 17
Senior running back Amani Richardson ran for 154 yards and a touchdown and senior quarterback Devin Tomei threw two touchdowns and ran for another to give the Hawks (1-5, 1-3) their first victory of the season and keep the Panthers (0-6, 0-4) winless.

Nonconference

Manalapan 42, East Brunswick 7

Junior John Cheung had a 50-yard punt return for a score for his second special teams touchdown in three games, and junior Dan Debner added an 80-yard kickoff return as the Braves (5-0) remained unbeaten with five different players finding the end zone.

Senior tailback Tyler Leonetti made his return from an ankle injury with a 6-yard score, fullback Nelson Rivera added a 1-yard touchdown run, and Jake McCourt had a 5-yard touchdown run.
