Football: Video Plays of the Week
Every week I will be pulling together the top plays from the previous weekend of the most dazzling and exciting moments from Shore Conference football action.
Obviously, we can't be filming every game at once, so if you have a great clip on YouTube, Vimeo or some other service where it can be embedded, feel free to email me a link at email@example.com or tweet it to me at @Scott_Stump. Also, if any coaches or video coordinators for teams have a great play and can load it on to YouTube or send it to me, feel free to also reach out so we can truly get a large amount of great plays from across the Shore.
I also will be looking to post the top fan videos from each week, so all those rowdy fanbases out there, make sure to send me your best stuff.
We'll kick off this inaugural edition of Plays of the Week with the top fan video, then get on to the plays.
Fan Video of the Week
Midd. South Nation rides the rollercoaster at "The Swamp" during a 28-7 win over Brick. Well done by the Eagles' faithful.
PLAYS OF THE WEEK
Mater Dei Prep's Tyson White takes it 65 yards to paydirt in a win over Cardinal McCarrick that put the Seraphs at 2-0 for the first time since 1986.
Red Bank Catholic senior tailback Larry Redaelli turns on the jets for a 47-yard score and one of his three TDs in a win over Manasquan.
Ocean's Royal Moore puts on the brakes to elude two defenders in a 7-0 win over Neptune.
Who doesn't love a big man interception? I couldn't embed this one, but it's at the 5:43 mark of this video. That's Barnegat senior D-lineman Tom Kampo rumbling 53 yards with an INT in the Bengals' 42-34 win over Manchester.
Monsignor Donovan sophomore defensive end Kyle Schremmer does Kampo one better, taking his interception all the way to the house in a 27-6 win over Lakewood.
Ocean's Jair Bernier rips off a 60-yard punt return in a huge spot. Bernier cuts it back across the field for a clutch return in the fourth quarter that set up the winning touchdown in a 7-0 victory over Neptune.
Monsignor Donovan senior WR Kyle Carrington takes the elevator to the top floor to make a catch in a 27-6 win over Lakewood.
Toms River South junior quarterback Tymere Berry puts Southern through the spin cycle. I guarantee you this won't be the last time Berry appears in top plays.
Have you ever seen a Ram fly? Southern senior Mike Gesicki, all 6-foot-6 and 225 pounds of him, goes airborne over a defender on a fake punt play in a loss to Toms River South.
Here's one more angle:
Want to see a 22-game losing streak disappear in a matter of seconds? Here's Pinelands junior kicker Jon Kubricki for the win. This was from 34 yards out and touched off a wild celebration in Tuckerton with a 16-13 overtime win against Point Boro.
