Football: Manasquan Holding Fund-Raiser for Coach Battling Cancer

The second annual WinterFest at the Manasquan Beach House on Saturday will be going to a great cause, as proceeds from the event will go to benefit Manasquan football assistant Billy Bertscha, who was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma this past summer.

Bertscha, a 2006 Manasquan graduate who played on the Warriors' 2005 Central Jersey Group II championship team, is currently an offensive line coach under head man Jay Price.

The event will be held from 6-10 p.m. on Saturday at the Manasquan Beach House on Main Street in Manasquan. There will be a $40 charge at the bar that will include open bar from 6-7:30 as well as a buffet. The Joe Baracata Band will be playing from 6-9:30 p.m., followed by the Pat Roddy Band.
