Red Bank Catholic 17, Point Boro 3

Jack Zenkert struck for five goals and two assists and Brennan Frederick delivered four goals and three assists to power the Caseys (9-8) to a victory over the Panthers (7-8).

Ryan Schellin added two goals and three assists, Anthony Muniz notched a hat trick and Declan Grigg made 10 saves. LSM Luke Gueci scored a goal and picked up 11 ground balls while Kyle Boggio had one goal and one assist and Steve Pesce also scored once. Jack Pollackov chipped in with two assists.

Cormac McCabe scored twice, Ben Williams scored once and Parker Roncin made 15 saves for Point Boro.

 

Holmdel 14, Brick 3

Kyle Kapcsos scored five goals and Dan Tempone scored four goals, picked up 15 ground balls and won 15 of 21 face-offs to lead the Hornets (10-6) past the Dragons (2-10).

Justin Cohen recorded a game-high seven points with two goals and five assists and Tom Ilvento posted three goals and two assists. Ryan Bradley added two assists and Nick Tuccillo made six saves.

 

Red Bank 15, Barnegat 1

Ryan McGee scored six goals and added two assists and Tor Haugenes tallied two goals and four assists as the Bucs (7-8) ran past the Bengals (2-12).

Nick Walsack had a hat trick, Brady Gilmartin contributed a goal and two assists and Luis Castillo, Matt Lynch and Kevin Screen had one goal apiece. Matt Gibson made five saves.

 

Toms River South 10, Marlboro 9 (OT)

Senior Andrew Xiques tallied two goals and three assists and Chris Krause made 12 saves as the Indians (2-10) staged a late rally to defeat the Mustangs (2-9) in overtime.

Mark Bish delivered two goals and one assist and Corey Snyder and Drew Gisinger also scored twice. Shane Kluxen added one goal and one assist and Matt Xiques scored once.

Before the game, Andrew Xiques had his hair cut for the first time in six years to be donated to make wigs for cancer patients. You can read more about  Xiques and his quest to raise money for the American Cancer Society here


Matt Weber scored five goals and Bryden Deleany made 19 saves to lead Marlboro. Ryan Huang scored twice, Jonathan Alverzo had one goal and two assists and Justin Santana scored once. Vincent Aquilino had three assists and 15 ground balls.

Brick Memorial 15, Lawrence 10

Filipe Correia and Darren Romaine recorded three goals and two assists each and Chris Marks tallied three goals and one assist as the Mustangs (7-7) evened their record with a victory over the Cardinals (10-5).

Rex Freeman added two goals and two assists, Ian Thomas totaled two goals and one assist and LSM Thomas Swartwout scored twice for his first career goals. Tyler Sindel and Jackson Forsyth each had two assists and Kyle Mueller won 16 of 18 face-offs. Jake White made 12 saves to earn the win in goal.

 

Long Branch 12, J.P. Stevens 0

Isaiah Gonzalez scored four times and Matt Clarke and Roberto Chacon each scored twice as the Green Wave (2-13) blanked the Hawks to record the first shutout in program history. the victory also gave Long Branch two wins in a season for the first time in program history.

Jon Laco, Danny Gonzale, Tyrone Hastings and Ricardo Luna each scored once, Wriel Egito won 12 of 13 face-offs and Scott Taverner made two saves.
