CLASS A NORTH

No. 2 CBA 12, Long Branch 1

Senior attackman Connor Macrae tallied four goals and one assist and senior midfielder Rory Dunigan collected three goals and one assist as the Colts (7-3, 7-0) took care of business against the Green Wave (0-11, 0-6) to lock up the Class A North division title.

Hunter Clark, Patrick Gotterup and Steven LoPorto each contributed one goal and one assist while Chris Romano and Michael DeRosa each scored once.

Matt Clark scored for Long Branch and Scott Taverner made six saves.

 

No. 6 Middletown South 13, No. 8 Howell 5

Senior midfielder Matt Tardy scored three goals and added three assists and sophomore midfielder Jason Allen notched a hat trick as the Eagles (9-2, 4-1) flew past the Rebels (7-4, 4-2).

Connor Ard and Carter Lenhard each scored twice, James Mayerhofer, Chris Lucyk and Tyler Wishniewski each scored once and Shane Murphy made seven saves.

James Fay had two goals and two assists to lead Howell. Anthony Cinelli, Vaughn Meehan and Jared Badillo scored once each and Logan Dennison had two assists. Jared Jablonski made eight saves.

CLASS A SOUTH

Jackson Memorial 21, Toms River South 1

Senior attackman Santo Porazzo netted eight goals and three assists to reach the 100-point milestone and lead the Jaguars (9-2, 6-0) to a win over the Indians (1-8, 0-5).

Joe Iacobone added three goals and two assists, Sean Laverty scored twice and Nick Perillo, Braedon Kukan and Drew Walenty each registered a goal and two assists. Matt DeRosa, Jake Bryson, Charlie Harrison, Ryan Soon and Tim Salisbury each scored once, R.J. Polakowski had two assists and Chad Szatkowski made two saves.

 

Jackson Liberty 12, Brick 2

Senior goalie Sean Reid made eight saves to reach 500 career saves and Nick LaBianca tallied three goals and four assists to lead the Lions (6-5, 4-3) past the Dragons (1-9, 1-4).

Gavin Ferullo added three goals and one assist, Joe Granza had two goals and one assist and Mike Behm scored twice. Matthew Bland had one goal and one assist, Evan Catron scored once and Jake Bosco handed out five assists.

CLASS B NORTH

No. 1 Manasquan 20, Red Bank Catholic 4

Senior attackman Canyon Birch scored nine goals and added three assists and senior attackman Ryan Anderson tallied a goal and nine assists as the Warriors (9-0, 5-0) cruised to a victory over the Caseys (6-5, 2-4).

Birch now has 467 points, leaving him two points away from breaking the state record held by A.L. Johnson's Matt Poskay.

Casey Mulligan added three goals and one assist, James Pendergist scored twice and Mike Cielecki, Robert Pendergist, Shane Ownes, Shawn Rodgers and Bobby McKiever each scored once. Senior goalie Mike LaPoint even contributed to the scoring barrage with a goal off a full-field run.

Ryan Schellin scored twice, Jack Pollackov had a goal and an assist and Brennan Frederick scored once for RBC, Declan Grigg made 11 saves and Luke Gueci picked up seven ground balls.

 

No. 7 St. John Vianney 24, Neptune 2

Senior attackman Andrew Gosse scored two goals and added three assists to record his 100th career point as the Lancers (7-5, 3-2) defeated the Scarlet Fliers (1-11, 0-6).

Anthony Brett had four goals and four assists plus 18 ground balls, Mike D'Anzeri scored four goals with three assists and C.J. Hanson also scored four times. Josh O'Leary won 26 of 30 face-offs, picked up 21 ground balls and tallied one goal and one assist. Andrew Gentile added two goals and Nico Clark, Frank D'Amore, Conor Flynn, Kyle Harris, Evan Knoll, Mason Shenk (first varsity goal) and Damon Washingon each scored once.

Kevin Clohosey and Logan Brown scored for Neptune while Hector Molina made 11 saves.

 

CLASS B SOUTH

No. 4 Shore 19, St. Rose 3

Senior midfielder Jack McCrae scored five goals and added one assist and Sean O'Brien won 25 of 26 face-offs with 16 ground balls along with one goal and one assist to lead the Blue Devils (9-0, 5-0) to a win over the Purple Roses (2-8, 2-2).

Jake Turner tallied four goals and one assist, Justin Murphy notched two goals and four assists and Gil Goldsmith had a goal and four assists. Tom Bocco added a hat trick, Jamie Mazzacco had two goals and two assists, Terry Carlstrom had a goal and three assists.

Scott Sirianni (three saves) and Nico Kotch (four saves) split time in goal.

 

Lacey 16, Point Boro 4

Dylan Vitale sank five goals and added two assists and Dominic Waltonowski tallied three goals and four assists as the Lions (8-0, 4-0) stayed unbeaten by defeating the Panthers (6-6, 2-3).

Chris Augustine notched four goals and one assist and Jake Schlosser had a goal and four assists. Brett Spafford had two goals and one assist, Mike Neri scored once and Gustavo Baxes made seven saves.

 

Donovan Catholic 17, Barnegat 3

Senior midfielder Trevor Barber scored five goals and went 14-for-20 on face-offs to lead the Griffins (3-5, 3-2) past the Bengals (2-10, 1-4).

Andrew Schlendorf added four goals and two assists, Wil Duddy had tallied three goals and two assists and Dan Fleming also scored three times. Daniel Murphy registered a goal and five assists, Jared Wacha scored once and Sean Eagan made 14 saves.

Bryan Snowden scored all three goals for Barnegat.

 

NONCONFERENCE

Holmdel 8, West Windsor-Plainsboro North 3

Kyle Kapcsos tallied three goals and two assists and Tom Ilvento scored three times to lead the Hornets (7-3) to a win over the Pirates (1-11).

Dan Tempone had one goal, two assists and 11 ground balls and also won 12 of 13 face-offs. Ryan Bradley chipped in with one goal and one assist and Nick Tuccillo made 10 saves.
