Luke Hamill, St. Rose

St. Rose nailed down a Shore Conference Tournament spot last week with wins over Point Beach and Asbury Park and Hamill came up big in both. He scored the lone goal in the 1-0 win over the Garnet Gulls, then went off for two goals and an assist in a 7-0 rout of Asbury Park.

The Purple Roses head into this weekend's Shore Conference Tournament hoping to shake off any remaining rust that developed after a two-week pause to the program for COVID-related reasons and make a deep run behind a senior-driven core, led by Hamill.

Hamill won the Week 5 contest with 28 percent of the votes cast, which beat out runner-up Kody Besser (19 percent) from the unbeaten Lacey Lions.
