Howell 3, No. 6 Freehold Twp. 2

Dylan Dougher converted a penalty kick in the 78th minute to break a 2-2 tie with the Patriots (6-4, 5-3) and give the Rebels (5-2-1, 5-2-1) their fifth straight win.

Freehold Township rallied from a 2-0 deficit to pull even, with freshman Mike Farrell scoring from 20 yards out to break up the shutout in the 68th before Jon Finocchiaro scored in the 74th minute to tie the score.

Mike Anello, who drew the foul that led to the deciding penalty kick, scored in the second minute on an assist from Rob Saunders and Jared Rubman made it 2-0 with a goal in the 61st.

 

Class A South

Toms River East 4, Central 2

Dane Bodziak scored the first of four unanswered goals for Toms River East between the 34th and 54th minutes and the Raiders (4-4, 4-4) topped the Golden Eagles (1-7, 1-7) for the second time this season.

Christian Zamora and Logan Romero each tallied a goal and an assist in the win and Tyler Parr scored the fourth goal for Toms River East. Pete Kozlej assisted Bodziak's goal to get the Raiders scoring started.

Mike Cambra gave Central a 1-0 lead with a goal in the 17th minute.

No. 4 Jackson Memorial 3, Brick Memorial 2

Dan Russo recorded a hat trick in the first 42:22 and the Jaguars (9-1, 6-1) held off a second-half surge by the Mustangs (5-3-1, 4-3-1) to solidify their stronghold on first place in Class A South.

Russo knocked in a point-blank shot on a follow-up to Ed Jacoby's initial shot in the fourth minute and gave the Jaguars a 2-0 lead with a chip shot to the far right post in the 24th after Joe Schlageter fed him the ball.

Jackson took a 3-0 lead when Russo drew a foul on the left side of the 18-yard box and finished the penalty kick in the 43rd minute.

Brick Memorial rallied with a pair of goals that came within 2:30 of one another. Erik Fatovic slammed home the first goal off a diagonal pass over the top from Joe Zalinsky in the 48th. Brian Gerard then drew a foul at the top edge of the box and Steve Ferebee knocked home the penalty kick in the 50th.

Toms River South 4, Brick 1

Matt Babcock scored a goal and assisted another to lead the Indians (6-2, 6-2) past the Green Dragons (1-6-2, 1-5-1). Ruben Gallo, Clem Slavick and Jack Seitz also scored a goal each in the win.

Alex Gomez scored the lone Brick goal on a pass from Joel Ramirez.

No. 9 Southern 2, Toms River North 2

Southern senior Brad Bischoff scored his second goal of the game in the 73rd minute to tie the game at 2-2 and the Rams (4-3-1, 4-2-1) and Mariners (2-4-1, 2-4-1) settled on a draw. Jaden Rossi an Riley DeFeis each scored for Toms River North.

 

Class B Central

Point Beach 5, St. Rose 1

Mike Ciorlian scored a goal and assisted two others while Ki Costa and Ryan Brodeur each added a goal and an assist to lead the Garnet Gulls (6-3, 5-2) to a win over the Purple Roses (4-6, 4-2).

Alex Atno and Connor O'Brien also scored a goal apiece for Point Beach, while Jonathan Caputo scored the lone goal for St. Rose.

Henry Hudson 2, Ranney 1

Barrett Bremekamp and Blaise Cauvin each scored a goal and the Admirals (2-8, 1-6) picked up their first B Central divisional win of the season by topping the Panthers (1-7, 1-6).

Asbury Park 6, Keyport 1

Davensky Joinvilmar and Luckenson Joseph each scored two goals and the Blue Bishops (8-1, 7-0) coasted to a win over the Red Raiders (2-8, 2-5). Cristian Terrazas and Jean Salomon also added a goal each.

Kevin Hernandez scored on a pass from Angelo Madrigal to account for the Keyport goal.

 

Class B South

Barnegat 7, Manchester 2

Ricky Norman and Ryan Flaherty each recorded a hat trick and the Bengals (6-4, 4-4) pulled away for a win over the Hawks (1-7-1, 1-6-1). Norman scored four of Barnegat's first five goals and Flaherty finished off the hat trick in the final nine minutes.

Jordan Finkle scored the tying goal for Manchester in the 22nd minute and Nick Oliver cut the Barnegat lead to 3-2 with a goal in the 42nd.

Donovan Catholic 1, Jackson Liberty 0

Nick Maalouf scored the lone goal of the game off a corner kick by Chad Yannazzone and the Griffins (2-6-1, 2-5-1) edged the Lions (2-7-1, 2-6-0) to avenge a season-opening loss to Jackson Liberty.

No. 3 Pinelands 3, Lakewood 1

Cade Sundermann scored in the 28th minute and Anthony Diaz and Creed Nass each added insurance goals in the final 10 minutes to help the Wildcats (9-0, 8-0) beat the Piners (6-3, 5-3) for a second time this year while remaining undefeated overall.

Dom Dos Santos, Aniello Lubrano and Kieran Sundermann assisted each of the Pinelands goals.

Lakewood broke up the shutout in the 78th minute on a goal by Kristian Talas.

Point Boro 1, Lacey 1

Lacey's Kian Gonzalez scored his first varsity goal off a Dan Bentley cross in the 70th minute, but Christian D'Amato answered with the equalizer in the 72nd as the Lions (4-3-1, 4-3-1) and Panthers (4-2-3, 3-2-3) played to a 100-minute deadlock.
