Class A North

No. 1 CBA 1, No. 3 Howell 0

Dominic Bellomo scored the lone goal of the game in the 22nd minute and the Colts (14-2, 11-1) held on to snap the Rebels' (8-3-1, 8-3-1) eight-game winning streak while also clinching no worse than a share of the Class A North championship.

CBA goalkeeper Shane Keenan made a crucial save on a clean look by Howell senior Brandon Downey in the 70th minute to preserve CBA's 11th shutout of the season.

No. 4 Freehold Twp. 4, Marlboro 1

Kevin Finn scored a pair of goals and the Patriots (10-4, 9-3) beat the Mustangs (0-12-2, 0-10-2) to move ahead of Howell in the Class A North public division title race. Jon Finocchiaro also added a goal for Freehold Township and Nick Puglia scored his first varsity goal in the win.

Manalapan 2, Neptune 1

Gavin Lebright scored the tie-breaking goal on a pass from D'Angelo Reyes in the second half and the Braves (4-6-3, 4-5-3) beat the Scarlet Fliers (4-7, 3-7) to officially knock Neptune out of the running for a Shore Conference Tournament berth.

Wilby Alfred gave Neptune a 1-0 lead on a penalty kick in the 22nd minute before Mike Schembeno headed in the equalizer in the 37th. Reyes also picked up the assist on Schimbeno's goal by getting a head on a Quentin Pickering corner kick.

 

Class A Central

Raritan 4, Red Bank 0

Nick Bavaro recorded a hat trick and the Rockets (6-4-2, 4-4-2) cruised to a win over the Bucs (1-12, 1-10). Tom Savin added a goal and an assist and Anthony Sparacino chipped in a pair of assists.

No. 2 Holmdel 6, Rumson-Fair Haven 2

Cyrus Darvish and Justin McStay each scored two goals and the Hornets (11-1, 10-0) erupted for five goals in the second half to erase a one-goal deficit and clinch the Class A Central championship with a win over the Bulldogs (9-3-1, 6-3-1).

Anthony Arena added a his 21st goal of the season on a go-ahead penalty kick in the 54th minute and also assisted both of Darvish's goals. Mikey Neff scored the game-tying goal in the 49th minute on a pass from Matt Leon.

Owen Greengrove scored both Rumson goals, the first on an assist from Leo Maita in the sixth minute and the other off a feed from Dan Cragg in the 33rd that gave the Bulldogs a 2-1 lead.

Shore 3, St. John Vianney 2 (OT)

Leo Montesinos drilled a free kick from just outside the 18-yard box in the second overtime and the Blue Devils (7-7-1, 6-4-1) pulled out a win over the Lancers (2-9-1, 2-8-1) to officially qualify for the Shore Conference Tournament.

 

Class A South

Toms River North 2, Brick 0

Alex Poll and Harmony Bellgam each scored a goal and the Mariners (5-5-1, 5-5-1) beat the Green Dragons (2-9-3, 2-8-2) to climb back to the .500 mark with one game left before the SCT cutoff. Toms River North would clinch a tournament berth with a win or draw Wednesday against Toms River South.

 

Class B North

Middletown North 2, Monmouth 1

Ryan Binn scored two goals and the Lions (8-7, 5-7) held off the Falcons (9-6, 7-5) to qualify for the Shore Conference Tournament. Norm Aitbenbella and Jon Alfano assisted the two scores by Binn.

Brian Waltsak scored in the second half on a pass from Mathis Quesada to pull Monmouth within a goal.

No. 6 Ocean 3, Middletown South 0

Steve Carton, Santieno Harding and Max Pardon each scored a goal and the Spartans (11-2, 11-1) shut out the Eagles (8-5-1, 6-5-1) to clinch the outright Class B North championship. Carton also added an assist, as did Luke Yates. Max Winters saved seven shots to pick up the shutout.

Wall 5, Red Bank Catholic 0

John Volpe scored two goals and the Crimson Knights (7-7, 6-6) cruised past the Caseys (3-11, 1-11) to clinch a spot in the Shore Conference Tournament. Jack Gotsch, Jeremy Thompson and Peter Coussoulis all added a goal apiece while Kevin Kile, Ryan Garibay, Riley Powers, Lorenzo Ramos and Robert Stoddart each assisted a goal.

Long Branch 7, Manasquan 1

Venancio Fernandes scored four goals and the Green Wave (10-4, 8-4) scored six unanswered goals in the second half to hammer the Warriors (4-9-1, 3-8-1). Oscar Marmol added a goal and two assists while Stiviny Silva and Reynaldo Guzman each scored a goal. Renan Azevedo also added two assists in the win.

Tommy Johnson scored the lone Manasquan goal to tie the game in the first half.

 

Class B Central

Asbury Park 2, Point Beach 1 (OT)

Davensky JoinVilmar scored the game-tying goal late in regulation and hammered home the golden goal during the second overtime to lift the Blue Bishops (12-1, 10-0) to a win over the Garnet Gulls (9-4, 8-3) that clinches the program its second consecutive Class B Central championship. Asbury Park has also won 24 consecutive Class B Central games dating back to 2015.

Ki Costa scored to give Point Beach a 1-0 lead during the early stages of the second half.

 

Class B South

Lacey 2, Barnegat 0

Kevin Miller and Dylan Fiedler broke through for second-half goals - both assisted by Kip Byrne - and the Lions (7-5-1, 7-4-1) blanked the Bengals (8-6, 6-6) to officially clinch a spot in the Shore Conference Tournament.

Byrne found Miller for the first goal of the game in the 57th minute and set up Fiedler for an insurance tally in the 73rd.

Lacey goalkeeper Ryan Giles also saved a penalty kick in the 59th minute to preserve the 1-0 lead.
