St. John Vianney 3, Monmouth 0

Jonas Melendez opened the scoring in the 25th minute and the Lancers tacked on two more goals in the second half to beat the Falcons.

Chris Loney and Dylan Olsen scored in the second half, with Olsen's goal coming on a penalty kick.

 

Class A South

Southern at No. 4 Toms River North - PPD, TBA

Toms River East 1, Brick 1

Josh Sommerer scored in the 75th minute to send the game into overtime and the Raiders earned their second straight tie with a goal late in regulation, this time against the Green Dragons. Juan Quintero gave Brick, which was denied its first win of the season, a 1-0 lead with a goal in the 60th minute.

Toms River South 1, No. 7 Jackson Memorial 0 (OT)

Rya Shiffer scored 43 seconds into overtime off a through-ball from freshman Dylan Danelson and the Indians took down the Jaguars

 

Class B Central

St. Rose 2, Mater Dei Prep 1

Matt Skea scored off a feed from Stephen Smith in the 70th minute to break a 1-1 tie and give the Purple Roses a win over the Seraphs. Joe Forlenza opened the scoring for St. Rose and Danny Poracky tied the game with a score just before halftime.

Point Beach 2, Asbury Park 1

Alex Ciorlian scored two goals and the Garnet Gulls ended a six-game winning streak by the Blue Bishops, which began after an opening-day loss to Point Beach. Jose Cesaire scored his 13th goal of the season in the loss.

Shore 8, Henry Hudson 0

Tyler Karpe scored two goals and the Blue Devils jumped out to a 6-0 halftime lead en rout to an easy win over the Admirals. Eric Bolsch, Alden Aikens, J.T. Kessler, Cole Allem, Marcelo Armondes and Sean Blair each added a goal for Shore.

 

Class B South

Barnegat at Manchester - PPD, Oct. 4

Central 2, Jackson Liberty 1

Blake Czajkowski scored two goals and the Golden Eagles edged the Lions for their sixth straight win.

Point Boro 6, Pinelands 0

Evan McHugh scored a goal in each half and the Panthers routed the Wildcats to remain unbeaten in Class B South (8-2, 8-0). Kenny Fellows, Sam Monaco, Owen Herrington and Dan Hunt each added a goal in the win.

Monsignor Donovan 4, Lakewood 0

Matt Migdon scored in the 51st minute to break a scoreless tie and open the floodgates for the Griffins in a win over the Piners. Jimmy Maguire and Mike Dalton scored a minute apart to cap the scoring after an own goal put Monsignor Donovan up 2-0.
