Toms River North 2, Toms River South 1

Senior Riley DeFeis scored on a free kick to cap a wild final six minutes as the Mariners (5-1-3, 4-0-1) pulled out a win against the crosstown rival Indians (1-4-1, 1-3-1).

Junior Jack Seitz scored in the 75th minute to give Toms River South a 1-0 lead, but Toms River North senior Andrew Casey answered with a goal one minute later. DeFeis then came back with his game-winner inside of three minutes remaining.

Non-Division

Point Beach 3, Ranney 1

Senior Ki Costa recorded a hat trick before halftime and the Garnet Gulls (5-2-1) beat the Panthers (4-4) for the second time this season, this time as a non-divisional match. Junior Rob D'Agastaro assisted the first Costa goal in the first minute and the third in the 28th.

Senior Ademola Odunlami scored the Ranney goal in the 50th minute.

Freehold Boro 2, Jackson Liberty 1

Junior Isaac Ball opened the scoring for Freehold Boro (5-4) and senior Dean Izzo added what proved to be the game-winner as the Colonials edged the Lions (2-6). Freshman Elton Canka scored the lone Jackson Liberty goal.

No. 6 Long Branch 4, Matawan 2

Senior Stiviny Silva scored his 11th goal of the season to open the scoring and junior Patrick O'Dwyer added a goal and an assist to help the Green Wave (5-4-1) outlast the Huskies (3-5).

O'Dwyer assisted Silva's goal in the ninth minute and scored the go-ahead goal with 28 seconds left in the first half after senior Jose Herrera-Garcia laid the ball off for him, making the score 2-1.

Senior James Caruso headed in Long Branch's third goal in the 52nd minute and junior Herbert Ruiz capped it with a one-timed strike off a pass from Herrera-Garcia.

Matawan tied the game at one on a goal by junior Marcelo Colonna off a pass from sophomore Andre Wells in the 28th minute and answered Caruso's goal in 1:34 when Ennir Radoncic won the ball from Long Branch keeper Rudy Giron and slipped it to Tommy Zalepka for the finish.

After Giron was issued a yellow card, backup keeper Tyler Abbot came on for Long Branch and saved a penalty kick by Mal Mehari and later made a diving save on a 25-yard missle struck by Colonna.

Point Boro 1, No. 5 Neptune 0

Junior Luke Severio scored the lone goal of the game in the 25th minute off a pass from senior Cormac McCabe and the Panthers (3-8) blanked the Scarlet Fliers (5-3-1) for their third straight shutout victory since starting the season 0-8.

Junior Steven Redler picked up the clean sheet in goal while junior Will Flaherty drew the assignment of marking Neptune senior Wilby Alfred - the Shore Conference's leading goal-scorer with 12 - and kept him off the board.

St. John Vianney 7, Asbury Park 0

Junior Kieran Kane was one of seven different players to score a goal and also assisted three of them to lead the Lancers (4-6) to a rout of the Blue Bishops (2-5).

Freshman Johnny Troiano added a goal and an assist, while Nico Clark, Joe Kazmac, James Corcoran, Billy D'Ambola and Sean Malloy each pitched in a goal for St. John Vianney.

Donovan Catholic 3, St. Rose 1

The Griffins (2-4-1) scored erupted for three goals in a 13-minute span of the second half and closed out a win over the Purple Roses (3-5-1).

Junior Vin Loffredo scored the second Donovan Catholic goal in the 50th minute for what proved to be the game-winner and assisted a goal by junior Nick Calvetto six minutes later.

Senior Matt Kekatos headed in a corner kick by freshman Preston Kyriacoulis to open the scoring in the 43rd minute and senior Chad Yannazzone assisted the goal by Loffredo that made the score 2-0.

Junior Christian Riozzi-Bodine scored the lone St. Rose goal in the 64th minute.

No. 1 Holmdel 2, Pinelands 0

Junior Jack Giamanco scored two goals within a span of two minutes during the late stages of the first half and the Hornets (9-0) hung on to beat the Wildcats (6-3), extending their season-opening winning streak to nine games while ending Pinelands' at six.

Giamanco converted a penalty kick in the 32nd minute after senior Joe Arena was fouled inside the 18-yard box. Just two minutes later, senior Ryan Ferguson won the ball near the right corner and played a cross in the air to the front of the net, where Giamanco headed it in.

No. 9 Freehold Twp. 3, Fair Lawn 0

Junior Bennett Messinger scored two goals and the Patriots (6-1-1) handled the Cutters (2-4) on the road. Senior Chris Orrico scored the other Freehold Township goal, while senior Jack Trainor, sophomore Zach Orrico and senior Joe Marchiano each assisted a goal.
