One of 10 new starters on the defending NJSIAA Non-Public A champion, Bellomo and his teammates are off to a fast start as varsity newcomers. CBA's 4-0 start includes three wins in Class A North play, but the most noteworthy win came on Saturday against Peddie.

In that game, CBA trailed Peddie 2-0 in the second half and rallied to win the game thanks to a breakout performance by Bellomo. The junior scored the first two goals of his varsity career as part of the comeback, including the golden goal in overtime. Bellomo was also active in a 2-0 win over Howell on Tuesday despite not breaking into the scoring column.

Bellomo won the first Player of the Week vote of the season with 37 percent of the more than 45,000 votes cast. He beat out Pinelands junior Dom Dos Santos, who collected 30 percent of the vote.
