Middletown North won a share of the Shore Conference Class B North division title after a 2-0 win against rival Manasquan, the first division title for the Lions since 2004.

Middletown North’s Ryan Harmon was sent off with his second yellow card midway through the second half, but delivered the first goal of the game with a header off a Liam McGregor corner.

Middletown North keeper Scott Weigel denied any late chances Manasquan had at a comeback, preserving his team’s win and a very impressive clean sheet.

On the other side of the field in between the posts, Manasquan goalie Jack Long also played an excellent game. He made impressive saves, including punching out three corners within the dying minutes of the first half.

Center back Jordan Stratton capped the scoring as he volleyed home from close after a long throw-in. The goal came after Harmon was sent off for a second yellow.
