Junior Jake Pepe scored in the eighth minute and the Crimson Knights (10-2, 5-1) added two more set-piece goals en route to a crucial win over the Cougars (6-3-1, 4-1-1).

Pepe pounced on a failed attempt at a clearance and slammed home an eight-year strike for the game's first goal.

Senior Jack Gotsch scored in the 29th to make it 2-0, heading a free kick by senior Tagg Ancrum off the left post and following up the miss by walking the ball in.

Junior Nico DellaPietro capped the scoring in the 44th by bending a corner kick into the far right corner of the netting.

With Friday's win, Wall moves within one win of clinching the Class B North championship, which the Crimson Knights can officially clinch with a win over Ocean on Monday.

Toms River North 2, Donovan Catholic 0

Juniors Ali Baish and Parker Nicholson both scored in the second half and the Mariners (6-4-1) topped the Griffins (3-7-1). Baish's goal opened the scoring in the 45th and Nicholson capped the win by scoring in the 77th.

Lacey 1, No. 3 Southern 0

Junior D.J. Edinger buried a 20-yard free kick in the 47th minute and the Lions (6-4-3) upset the Rams (8-2-1) to head into next week's Shore Conference Tournament with a statement win.

Junior Anthony Leporino earned the shutout in his first game action since sustaining an injury in an opening-day win over Rumson-Fair Haven.

Brick 2, Pinelands 0

Senior J.B. Bazydlo scored two goals in the second half and the Green Dragons (4-6-1) blanked the Wildcats (6-3-1).

Keyport 3, Red Bank Catholic 0

Kevin Hernandez scored a goal and assisted another to lead the Red Raiders (4-6) over the Caseys (1-9-1). Sal Tornetto and Joe Lanzaro each added a goal apiece for Keyport.
