No. 5 Long Branch 2, Middletown North 1

Senior Brian Completo and Victor Pessoa each scored a goal off passes from senior Augusto Bontempo and the Green Wave (10-2, 10-2) held off the Lions (4-6-1, 4-4-1).

Senior Denzel Boateng scored the lone Middletown North goal on a penalty kick.

Manalapan 0, No. 1 CBA 0

The Braves (0-8-1, 0-8-1) snapped a 10-game winning streak to open the year for CBA (10-0-1, 8-0-1) while also halting an eight-game losing streak that opened their season.

No. 4 Freehold Twp. 4, Marlboro 1

Senior Adam Havens, junior Herman Colbert and senior Charlie Trama each scored during a three-goal second half that propelled the Patriots (10-3, 10-3) to a win over the Mustangs (2-7-1, 2-7-1).

Marlboro jumped out to a 1-0 lead on a header by junior Max Rosen in the 18th minute and junior J.T. Gold answered in the 22nd with a goal off a Zach Orrico through-ball.

Howell 3, Middletown South 1

Nick Spisak and Eric Yakov each posted a goal and an assist and the Rebels (4-7-2, 4-7-2) topped the Eagles (3-10, 3-10) to end a nine-game winless streak that followed a 3-0 start. Kris Maza scored the other Howell goal, while Dylan Petke scored to put Middletown South on the board.

 

Class A Central

Ocean 2, Red Bank Catholic 1

Freshman Rodley Petit scored his first goal and the Spartans (6-4-2, 5-4-2) snapped a six-game winless streak by edging the Caseys (0-12, 0-10). Junior Aidan Tisony assisted the goal by Petit and junior Michael Reid added the game-winner off a feed from junior Peter Baillergeau.

Rumson-Fair Haven 0, Raritan 0

The Bulldogs (6-4-2, 6-2-2) and Rockets (7-2-2, 7-2-2) played to a scoreless tie with the second-place slot in Class A Central on the line during the two-game series during the week.

No. 3 Holmdel 3, Shore 0

Tomas Zolofra, David Weiner and Matt Kline each scored a goal and the Hornets (11-1-1, 10-0-1) shutout the Blue Devils (4-9, 2-9) to clinch first place in the Class A Central division.

 

Class A South

Toms River East 2, Central 2

Freshman David Kroon scored a game-tying goal in the 45th minute and assisted another by senior Christian Verderosa in the 60th as Central (0-9-3 0-9-2) twice answered goals by the Raiders (5-7-1, 5-7-1) to earn a draw.

Senior Alex Heid scored for the fourth straight game to open the scoring for Toms River East, finishing off a pass from Jackson Meyer in the 30th minute. Kroon answered 15 minutes later for the Golden Eagles off a pass from junior Gianni Smith.

Toms River East regained the lead in the 50th on a goal by junior Noah Raimonde off a feed from senior Mike Conklin.

 

Class B North

No. 7 Wall 2, No. 6 Colts Neck 1

Junior Emmett Aravich scored the game-winning goal in the 68th minute and the Crimson Knights (13-0, 13-0) rallied from a one-goal halftime deficit to beat the Cougars (12-1, 12-1) in a battle of undefeated Class B North titans.

Senior Sean Southwell initiated the winning goal with a low-driven free kick from just inside midfield. Junior Terence Byrnes took a swing after the first deflection in the box and his attempt wound up at the feet of Aravich, who lined up an contested shot that he buried to the right side of the netting.

Wall tied the game in the 55th on a goal by senior Jake Pepe, who headed in a well-placed corner kick by senior defender Christian Cosenza.

Colts Neck grabbed a 1-0 halftime lead thanks to a goal in the 34th, with junior Tom Samaras heading in a long diagonal pass from outside defender Vivam Gandhi.

St. John Vianney 3, Freehold Boro 0

Junior Johnny Troiano scored two goals and assisted the other during St. John Vianney's three-goal second half as the Lancers (2-9-1, 2-9-1) came alive after halftime to beat the Colonials (1-11, 1-11). Sophomore Luke Molloy scored the other St. John Vianney goal.

Neptune 4, Matawan 1

Kervens Lafortune scored two goals and Steven Camacho chipped in a goal and an assist to lead the Scarlet Fliers (6-7, 6-7) to a win over the Huskies (5-8, 5-8) - their fifth straight after a 1-7 start. David Radwonski accounted for the other Neptune goal.

Class B South

Lacey 1, Jackson Liberty 0

Junior Dom Iorio scored the game's lone goal and the Lions (11-2-1, 11-2-1) closed out their regular season with a win over Jackson Liberty (5-4, 5-4).
