No. 5 Long Branch 2, Middletown North 0

Senior Jason Laviola assisted a goal by junior Eduardo Ribiero and scored one of his own to lead the Green Wave (11-2, 11-2) to a win over the Lions (4-7-1, 4-5-1) and a virtual tie for first-place finish among the Class A North public schools.

No. 4 Freehold Twp. 2, Marlboro 1

Senior Tim Bertscha scored the winning goal in the 65th minute and the Patriots (11-3, 11-3) beat the Mustangs (2-8-1, 2-8-1) to match Long Branch with 11 A North wins - the most in the division this year.

Sophomore Caleb Zettell scored the first Freehold Township off an assist by Zach Orrico that set the new career mark for the Patriots program.

Junior Max Rosen headed in the game-tying goal just before the midway point of the second half.

No. 1 CBA 3, Manalapan 0

Senior Shane Borenius headed in the lone first-half goal in the 12th minute and the Colts (11-0-1, 9-0-1) bounced back from a scoreless draw against Manalapan on Tuesday by beating the Braves (0-9-1, 0-9-1) on Thursday.

Senior Graydon Santos scored off a cross from junior Marco Mastriani in the 58th and junior Jack McGagh added a goal in the 64th off a pass from senior Jack Longo.

Class A Central

No. 10 Rumson-Fair Haven 4, No. 9 Raritan 1

Sophomore Alec Pentikis scored a goal in each half and the Bulldogs (7-4-2, 7-2-2) rolled to a win over the Rockets (7-3-2, 7-3-2) to take over second place in Class A Central.

Junior Luke Pentikis assisted the first two goals of the game, with senior Sam Coughlin scoring the first one in the 21st minute and Alec Pentikis following up in the 29th.

Senior Dylan Rumage scored on a rebound in the 51st and Alec Pentikis struck a minute later off an Ian Wurch feed to cap the Rumson scoring. Senior Chris Fontanazza got Raritan on the board in the 78th minute.

No. 3 Holmdel 1, Shore 0

Senior Connor Hinds scored the golden goal off a corner kick 37 seconds into overtime and the Hornets (12-1-1, 11-0-1) pulled out a win over the Blue Devils (4-10, 2-10) to complete an unbeaten season within the A Central division.

Class A South

Jackson Memorial 5, Brick 1

Junior Steve Bado and senior Bugra Celik each scored two goals and senior Zach Rogacki added another as the Jaguars (5-6-1, 5-6-1) drilled the Green Dragons (7-7, 7-7) for their fourth straight win to close out the regular season.

Toms River South 2, Brick Memorial 1

Junior Danny Lindov scored the game-winning goal in the 77th minute off a feed from senior Harrison Jacobus and the Indians (6-8, 6-8) pulled out a win over the Mustangs (2-10-2, 2-10-2) to cap the regular season for both sides.

Lindov assisted the first goal of the game by sophomore Jon Fitzgerald, who broke a scoreless deadlock in the final minute of the first half.

Brick Memorial tied the game in the 74th minute on a goal by senior Jack Fanning on an indirect kick from six yards away from the goal, with Anden Johnson touching it first for the assist.

Central at Toms River East - Canceled

 

Class B North

No. 7 Wall 2, No. 6 Colts Neck 1

Senior Sean Southwell blasted a free kick into the box in the 75th minute and Colts Neck knocked it into its own net for the winning goal that kept the Crimson Knights (14-0, 14-0) unbeaten with their second straight 2-1 win over the Cougars (12-2, 12-2).

Wall played with 10 men for the final 33 minutes of the game after junior Ryan Molloy picked up his second yellow card of the game. Just four minutes earlier, senior Jake Pepe gave the Crimson Knights a 1-0 lead with a shot from the edge of the 18-yard box on the right side of the field.

Colts Neck pulled even on a penalty kick by senior Jake Gershon in the 55th minute following a handball just inside the 18-yard box, but Wall's defense kept the Cougars at bay for the next 20 minutes before Southwell's free kick produced the game-winner on a rare Crimson Knights offensive action in the second half.

Neptune 3, Matawan 1

Marvin Muñoz Garcia scored for the fifth straight game and the Scarlet Flies (7-7, 7-7) topped the Huskies (5-9, 5-9) for their sixth straight victory. Steven Camacho and Ernst Louisis scored the other two Neptune goals and senior Cosme Fierro assisted two of them.

Senior Bryan Leonard scored the first goal and assisted freshman Anthony Cano's first career goal as the Falcons (6-7-1, 4-7-1) picked up their sixth straight win.
