Rumson-Fair Haven 8, Red Bank Catholic 0

Junior Luke Pentikis posted a hat trick and added an assist - all during a six-goal second half - to highlight a one-sided win for the Bulldogs (2-0, 2-0) over the Caseys (0-3, 0-3).

Senior Drew Stypa added a goal and an assist and senior Terence Wrench, senior Sean Allingham, junior Harrison Gibson and sophomore Alec Pentikis each chipped in a goal for Rumson.

 

Class A South

Brick 4, Toms River East 1

Eli Chong and Sean Palmer each scored two goals and Zack Meyer assisted three of them as the Green Dragons (2-2, 2-2) put away the Raiders (1-3, 1-3) two nights after squandering a two-goal second-half lead in an overtime loss on Tuesday.

Chong and Palmer each scored in the first four minutes to stake Brick to a 2-0 lead before Toms River East cut the deficit to 2-1 on an own goal in the 28th minute.

No. 3 Toms River North 2, No. 8 Jackson Memorial 0

Senior Parker Nickelsen broke a scoreless tie with a penalty kick early in the second half and senior Ali Baish tacked on an insurance goal to lead the Mariners (4-0, 4-0) past the Jaguars (0-4, 0-4) for their fourth straight win to open the season.

No. 2 Southern 3, Brick Memorial 0

Seniors Ryan Leavitt, Luke Hart and Kevin Kiernan each scored a goal in the first half and the Rams (4-0, 4-0) cruised past the Mustangs (1-2-1, 1-2-1) for their fourth straight win to open the season.

Toms River South 6, Central 0

Senior Peter Mandica assisted the first goal of the game by junior Danny Lindov, then scored twice in the second half to spark the Indians (3-1, 3-1) to a win over the Golden Eagles (0-3-1, 0-3-1).

Senior Harrison Jacobus assisted three goals and senior Campbell Challoner set up two for Toms River South. Sophomore Jon Fitzgerald, Mandica and sophomore A.J. Truszkowski scored off passes from Jacobus while Challoner found Mandica and Kenny Caruso for second-half goals.

 

Class B Central

Point Beach 3, Keyport 0

Junior Isaac Enu scored the game's first goal in the 28th minute and assisted goals by sophomore Josh Boyan and junior Jacob Bardsley to lead the Garnet Gulls (4-0, 4-0) over the Red Raiders (0-4, 0-4).

Class B South

Barnegat 0, Pinelands 0

Donovan Catholic 3, Lakewood 3

Marco Alvardo, Fabian Mendoza and Robert Serrano each scored a first-half goal for Lakewood (0-2-2, 0-2-2) but the Griffins (1-2-1, 1-2-1) rallied to tie it in the second half to salvage a draw.

Senior Vin Mendes, senior Damien Mangin and sophomore Ryan Butchko accounted for the Donovan Catholic goals.

Lacey 4, Manchester 2

Four different Lacey players scored in the first 31 minutes and the Lions (3-0-1, 3-0-1) stormed past the Hawks (1-2-1, 1-2-1) to sweep the regular-season series between the two B South teams.

Senior D.J. Edinger opened the scoring in the eighth minute off a cross from sophomore Ethan Riley and returned the favor by playing Riley through in the 24th minute for Lacey's third goal.

Senior Noah Hamouda extended the Lacey lead to 2-0 in the 17th minute off a service from sophomore Mateo Musmanni and junior Kody Besser capped the scoring with a free kick in the 31st.

Senior Trevor Juralewicz scored both Manchester goals in the second half.

Jackson Liberty 1, Point Boro 0

Junior Elton Canka connected on a shot from beyond the 18-yard box midway through the second half and the Lions (4-0-0, 4-0-0) edged the Panthers (0-3-1, 0-3-1) for their fourth straight win to open the season - one year after going 0-15.
