Junior Anthony Cona opened the scoring and senior Chase Guinta added a first-half penalty kick as the Eagles (3-3, 3-3) held off the Braves (0-6, 0-6).
No. 5 Long Branch 2, Marlboro 1
Senior Jason Laviola scored just before the half and junior Eduardo Ribiero added what proved to be the game-winner with a penalty kick to carry the Green Wave (4-0, 4-0) past the Mustangs (1-4-1, 1-4-1).
Laviola headed in a corner kick by senior Augusto Bontempo in the 38th minute and a push in the box set up Ribiero for the penalty kick that put Long Branch ahead, 2-0, in the 61st.
Senior Eric Tsirkin slotted a 12-yard shot to the upper right corner of the goal off a Dan Risin pass in the 74th to draw Marlboro within a goal and the Mustangs had a potential goal called off in the 77th due to an offside call.

Sophomore Jack D'Eletto scored on a counter-attack and off a feed from junior Jake Homowitz in the 55th minute and the Colts (3-0, 2-0) held on to beat the Patriots (4-2) and sweep the regular-season series from the No. 1 team in the SSN Top 10.

Senior Tomas Zolofra scored goals in the seventh and 63rd minutes and the Hornets (4-0, 3-0) blanked the Bulldogs (2-2, 2-1) to extend their unbeaten streak to 58 straight matches.
Zolofra took a pass from senior Matt Kline early in the first half, touched it toward the edge of the 18-yard box on the right side of the field and connected for a 1-0 Holmdel lead.
In the 63rd, junior Brendan Worobel slid a square ball to Zolofra outside the top of the 18-yard box, where Zolofra dribbled right and fired a shot to the lower left of the goal.
Junior Tommy Chyzowych recorded his third shutout in four games to open the season and made his two biggest saves within two minutes of one another early in the first half, one on a diving stop to his lower right.
Raritan 3, Monmouth 1
Senior Chris Fontanazza scored two goals and assisted another by sophomore Lupo Ryder to lead the Rockets (4-0, 4-0) past the Falcons (0-6, 0-6) for their fourth straight win to open the season.
Junior Kaan Pehlivan scored in the first half for Monmouth's lone goal.

No. 2 Southern 3, Toms River East 1
Senior John Paul Prosperi scored the tying goal in the 32nd minute and the Rams (5-0, 5-0) took the lead for good in the second half on a goal by senior Luke Hart that completed the comeback against the Raiders (1-4, 1-4).
Southern put the game away when senior Kevin Kiernan connected on a free kick for his ninth goal in five games to open the season.
Toms River East jumped on top midway through the first half on a goal by senior Mike Conklin off a pass from junior Noah Raimonde.
Class B North
Manasquan 4, Matawan 3 (OT)
Junior Mike Cafiero erupted for four goals, including the golden goal in the 96th minute, to carry the unbeaten Warriors (5-0-1, 5-0-1) past the Huskies (3-3, 3-3) for their third overtime win in four extra-time games.
Junior Evan Pitzer set up the game-winning goal with a low-driven cross, which Cafiero knocked in with just over four minutes to play in the second overtime period.
Matawan rallied from a 3-1 deficit in the final 15 minutes, with seniors Justin Skeete and Dylan Frye scoring to pull the Huskies even. Junior Chris Mularadelis scored the first Matawan goal, which staked the Huskies to a 1-0 lead in the 18th minute.
Cafiero's first three goals came within a span of eight minutes in the first half, beginning with a finish in the 22nd minute off a through-ball from senior Simon Cardenas. Sophomores Matt Karolek and Mike Flanagan assisted the next two Cafiero goals.
No. 7 Wall 2, Freehold Boro 1
Junior Terence Byrnes scored two goals off passes from classmate Emmett Aravich and the Crimson Knights (6-0, 6-0) clipped the Colonials (1-5, 1-5) to remain unbeaten.
Senior Matt Castles tied the game for Freehold Boro in the 45th minute off a feed from senior Mike Romero-Vargas. Byrnes answered with his second goal of the game in the 59th for the game-winner.
No. 6 Colts Neck 5, Red Bank 1
Senior Jake Gershon scored twice in the first 10 minutes to spark the Cougars (6-0, 6-0) to a five-goal performance and a win over the Bucs (0-6, 0-6).
Senior Adam Haff assisted the first goal and Derek Haff made it 3-0 in the 22nd minute off a pass from Gershon.
Junior Tom Samaras scored on a free kick and senior Michael Bartelli notched the final Colts Neck goal.
Senior Adam Tlatelpa scored off a pass from junior Jacob Kirkpatrick to cut the Colts Neck lead to 3-1 before Samaras's goal made it 4-1 before halftime.
Neptune 3, St. John Vianney 0
Senior Marvin Muñoz Garcia scored a goal and assisted two others by senior David Radwonski and Kervens Lafortune as the Scarlet Fliers (1-5, 1-5) beat the Lancers (1-4-1, 1-4-1) for their first win of the season.

Junior Charles Anyichie scored two more goals to make it eight in his team's first three games and the Panthers (3-0, 3-0) edged the Seraphs (0-2, 0-2).
Johnny Contini scored Mater Dei's goal off a feed from fellow junior Zach O'Neal.

Manchester 2, Barnegat 1 (OT)
Sophomore Muberaq Aderogba scored the tying goal in the 73rd minute and the golden goal two minutes into overtime to rally the Hawks (3-2-1, 3-2-1) to a win over the Bengals (0-5-1, 0-5-1).
Barnegat broke the ice on a goal by senior Connor Costello in the 45th minute.

Junior Kody Besser drilled a direct kick in the 60th minute and the Lions (5-0-1, 5-0-1) beat the Griffins (1-4-1, 1-4-1) for their fifth straight win.
