Class A North

No. 5 Long Branch 3, Howell 2

Senior Jason Laviola scored the game-winning goal with 30 seconds left in the game and the Green Wave (7-2, 7-2) rallied for a win over the Rebels (3-5-2, 3-5-2).

Anthony Vazquez scored a goal and assisted another and Lucas Da Costa converted the other Long Branch goal.

Howell grabbed a 1-0 halftime lead with a penalty kick by Andrew Louis in the first half.

Class A Central

Monmouth 3, Shore 0

Juniors Ryan Kuldanek and Kaan Pehlivan each scored a goal and dished out an assist as the Falcons (3-7-1, 2-7-1) beat the Blue Devils (2-8, 2-8) for their third straight win. Alex Rausch scored the third and final Monmouth goal.

No. 9 Ocean 1, No. 10 Raritan 1

Raritan senior Chris Fontanazza and Ocean junior Peter Baillergeau traded goals and the Rockets (7-0-1, 7-0-1) and the Spartans (5-2-2, 4-2-2) settled for a draw.

Fontanazza ran down a through-ball from sophomore Lupo Ryder, touched it past goalkeeper Francisco Castelo and finished the game's first goal in the 15th minute.

Ocean struck back off a corner kick, with the ball bouncing to Baillergeau, who ripped it in from the middle of the 18-yard box.

Castelo made two key diving saves, one in the late stages of regulation on a shot by Fontanazza and another in the second minute of the second overtime period on a strike by Emir Pupovic.

 

Class B North

No. 6 Colts Neck 8, Matawan 1

Senior Jake Gershon recorded a hat trick with two assists and the Cougars (10-0, 10-0) kept rolling with a rout of the Huskies (5-5, 5-5).

Junior Tom Samaras assisted the first three Colts Neck goals and later added one of his own and Jake Carreira chipped in a goal and an assist in the win.

Junior David Tuschmann scored the first Colts Neck, Michael Bartelli scored the sixth and final goal of the first half for the Cougars, and Colts Neck's other goal came on an own goal.

 

Class B South

Point Boro 3, Donovan Catholic 2

Danny Gallagher assisted the first goal of the game by Jared Elliot, then scored the third Point Boro goal of the first half to lead the Panthers (1-4-1, 1-4-1) past the Griffins (2-5-2, 2-5-2) for their first win.

Charles Latendorf scored off a pass from Connor Robinson to put Point Boro ahead, 2-0, in the 31st minute and Gallagher stretched the lead to 3-0 in the 39th.
