CLASS A SOUTH

No. 3 Southern 17, Toms River South 7

Senior attackman Nick Simonelli exploded for nine points with four goals and five assists and junior midfielder Will Johnson also scored four goals to power the Rams (4-0, 1-0) past the Indians (0-3, 0-1).

Junior attackman Kyle Mulrane finished with two goals and three assists and senior James Manzo had a goal and two assists. Junior attackman Dylan Smith and freshman attackman Nick Fontana scored twice and senior midfielder Jon Manzo and freshman midfielder Anielio Russo each tallied once. Tristan Farina made nine saves while Connor Black stopped three shots for Southern.

Cooper Guzzi and Ethan Lucas each scored three goals for Toms River South. Guzzi also had an assist. Andrew Xigues also scored and Tyler Sosa had three assists. John DeBidua made eight saves.

 

NONDIVISIONAL

No. 1 Rumson-Fair Haven 10, No. 4 CBA 3

Senior attackmen Henry Sillen and Robbie Garavente each scored twice while adding an assist, and fellow senior attackman Griffin Schultz also scored three times as the top-ranked Bulldogs (4-1) defeated the Colts (1-3) in Middletown.

Junior midfielder Bryan Hess also scored while junior midfielder Alex Werner had a pair of assists. Senior goalie Kyle Knapp was stellar with nine saves, and senior Butch Clark won 11 of 17 face-offs.

Junior attackman Nick Casner scored twice for CBA.
