CLASS B SOUTH

No. 2 Manasquan 16, Barnegat 3

Junior attackman Jarrett Birch scored four goals and added three assists, and freshman attackman Canyon Birch also scored four times with one assist as the Warriors (8-2, 2-0) snapped a two-game losing streak by dominating the Bengals (2-5, 1-1).

Senior midfielder Paul Krueger notched a hat trick for Manasquan, which scored 15 or more goals for the fourth time this season. The Warriors had suffered their first two losses this week to Moorestown and Summit, the No. 4 and No. 1 rated teams, respectively, in the LaxPower New Jersey rankings.

 

NONDIVISIONAL

Jackson Memorial 8, Red Bank 7 (OT)

Junior midfielder Dakota Neron scored the game-winning goal in overtime to lift the Jaguars (3-7) to a crucial victory over the Bucs (4-6).

Neron scored a team-high four goals while adding an assist, and senior attackman Justin Mayer scored three times with one assist to help Jackson snap a four-game losing streak. Junior midfielder John Chitren also scored and junior goalie Dylan Furnback made 18 saves. Furnback went over 500 career saves in the game and currently stands at 514.

Senior midfielder Ryan Gilmartin scored four goals for Red Bank and senior attackman Cole Smolokoff scored twice. Senior midfielder John Doherty scored once and senior goalie Jon Pierce made nine saves.

 

Marlboro 15, Long Branch 0

 

NONCONFERENCE

St. Augustine Prep 6, No. 1 Rumson-Fair Haven 5

The Hermits (5-4) scored three times in the fourth quarter to erase a 5-3 Rumson lead and stop the Bulldogs' six-game winning streak.

Senior attackman Robbie Garavente and junior attackman Charlie Curran each scored twice for Rumson, while senior midfielder Matt Waters scored once. Senior goalie Kyle Knapp made seven saves.

Ethan Kazmierski had three goals, including the game-winner off a feed from Chris Stach, for St. Augustine. The Hermits are ranked No. 8 in New Jersey by The Star Ledger.
