Middletown South 10, Marlboro 3

 

CLASS A SOUTH

No. 3 Southern 11, Jackson Memorial 4

Senior attackman Nick Simonelli scored three times and added five assists as the Rams (5-0, 2-0) stormed past the rival Jaguars (2-4, 0-2).

Junior attackman Kyle Mulrane and junior midfielder Will Johnson also scored three times. Senior midfielder Kyle Brown and junior midfielder Dylan Smith scored once. Junior goalie Tristan Farina made nine saves.

Junior midfielder Dakota Negron scored twice for Jackson Memorial while senior attackman Justin Mayer added a goal and an assist. Junior attackman Aiden Schell also scored, while junior goalie Dylan Furnback made 20 saves against 36 Southern shots.

 

Brick Memorial 18, Brick 6

Junior attackman Gavin Murphy led an offensive assault by the Mustangs (6-0) with seven goals and three assists in a convincing win over the rival Dragons (1-4).

Senior attackman Billy Porter scored four goals and junior midfielder Mike Mowder added three goals and one assist. Junior attackman Henry Moran had a goal and a game-high four assists, while senior goalie Chris Sayers made 10 saves. Steve Assante, Trevor Courtwright and Zack Morton also tallied for Brick Memorial.

 

NONDIVISIONAL

No. 2 Manasquan 15, Toms River South 1

Junior attackman Jarrett Birch scored four times, including the 100th goal of his career, and added an assist as the Warriors (6-0) blasted the Indians (0-4) in a night game. Freshman attackman Canyon Birch led all players with five goals and two assists.

 

Lacey 16, Donovan Catholic 9

Junior midfielder Connor Wilson, junior attackman Mike Sabarese and sophomore attackman JoeCarlo Chimenti each scored four goals as the Lions (4-1) blitzed the Griffins (1-5).

Junior midfielder Nick DeOliveira and sophomore midfielder Justin Covey scored twice and senior goalie Mike Trezza made 14 saves.

Senior midfielder Pete Schlendorf and senior attackman Hunter MacPherson each scored three times for Donovan Catholic

 

Point Boro 9, Middletown North 8

Senior Matt Schwartz scored the go-ahead goal with 2:20 left in regulation to lift the Panthers (3-2) to a huge win over the Lions (4-3).

Schwartz finished with a game-high five goals while sophomore Tanner Gordon scored twice. Seniors Darian Healey and Courtland Hackel each had two assists while juniors Kyler Rossi and Nik Christakis each scored one. Parker Rohcin made eight saves.

Senior midfielder Khristian Acosta scored three times for Middletown North. Senior attackman Bryan Flannigan and senior midfielder Connor Hedlund each had two goals and one assist, and junior midfielder Brock Zenker had one goal and one assist.
