CLASS A NORTH

No. 7 Howell 5, Colts Neck 3

Freshman James Fay scored a career-high three goals and senior goalie Nick Roberto made five saves as the Rebels (6-2, 4-1) won a defensive battle against the Cougars (2-5, 2-2).

Jared Badillo added one goal and one assist, Chase Burke scored once and sophomore midfielder Vaughn Meehan went 7-for-8 on face-offs and picked up nine ground balls. Senior LSM Sean Mylod picked up seven ground balls and had two takeaways and senior defenseman Braedon Baldwin had four ground balls and three takeaways.

Zack Alagna, Dan SanFillippo and Tyler Thomsen each scored once for Colts Neck.

 

NONDIVISIONAL

No. 8 Jackson Memorial 12, St. Rose 7

Junior attackman Santo Porazzo scored a game-high five goals and sophomore midfielder Aaron Hutchinson added four goals and two assists to steer the Jaguars (6-1) past the Purple Roses (2-7).

Matt Perillo and Braedon Kukan each tallied one goal and one assist and Joe Iacobone scored once. Yael Bonilla was strong in the cage with 11 saves.

Spencer Flynn had two goals and one assist and Mike Kinsel and Nolan Boehmcke also scored twice for St. Rose. Shane Reilly had one goal and one assist and Logan LeMoult had two assists. Brendan Perry made four saves in goal.

 

NONCONFERENCE

Moorestown 8, No. 6 Rumson-Fair Haven 3

Wyatt Feinberg scored twice and Sean Bunnell made six saves for the Bulldogs (4-6), who were defeated by the Quakers (7-2) in a nonconference game.

Rowan Goldin scored once and William Sullivan had two assists. The game was tied 2-2 at halftime before Moorestown outscored Rumson 6-1 in the second half.

 

Mater Dei 8, Wardlaw-Hartridge 7

Jack Torpey and Gavin Toth each scored three goals and Kajell Whyte made nine saves to lead the Seraphs (3-4) to a win over the Rams (2-2).

Max Bonevento and Jon Leverock had one goal apiece and Chris Napoli had three assists.
