CLASS A NORTH

No. 3 CBA 15, No. 6 Freehold Township 3

Sophomore midfielder Kyle Aldridge notched three goals and one assist and senior attackman Connor Macrae also scored three times as the Colts (2-1, 2-0) walloped the rival Patriots (2-1, 1-1).

Ryan Howard added two goals and two assists and sophomore face-off specialist Jared Lucich went 18-for-21 on draws and also scored a goal. Sophomore attackman Dan Martin and junior defenseman Dillon Quinn added a goal and freshman midfielder Aidan Guinnessy scored his first varsity goal. Matt Downey, Cooper Graham and Patrick Gotterup also scored once and Noah D'Andea made four saves.

Brendan Doel, Nick Elimanco and Kyle Von Nessen each had a goal and an assist and Aidan Purcell made 12 saves for Freehold Township.

 

NONDIVISIONAL

No. 1 Manasquan 18, No. 4 Southern 2

 

No. 8 Middletown South 7, Brick 3

Connor Ard scored six goals and added one assist to power the Eagles' (3-0) offense and lead the way in a victory over the Dragons (0-3). Liam Blancher scored once and Shane Murphy made seven saves.

The game was tied 3-3 after the first quarter until Middletown South scored three times in the second quarter and shut out Brick the rest of the way.

 

No. 10 St. John Vianney 14, Colts Neck 4

Junior midfielder Anthony Brett tallied four goals and three assists, including the 100th point of his career, to lead the Lancers (2-1) to a victory over the Cougars (0-3).

Brett also picked up a team-high 12 ground balls. Senior attackman Andrew Gosse tallied four goals and one assist and Mike D'Anzeri posted three goals and two assists. Regular goalie C.J. Hanson played in the field for the second time this season and scored twice while defenseman junior Kyle Harris scored once. Josh O'Leary won 11 of 17 face-offs and Zach Schiavone made nine saves.

Nick Giantasio had two goals and one assist and Anastagio Muscara and Tristan McMerty each scored once for Colts Neck.

 

Point Boro 6, Toms River East 3

Aiden Kirk scored twice and Parker Roncin made 13 saves to lead the Panthers (2-1) to a victory over the Raiders (0-2).

T.J. Palazzo added a goal and two assists, Ben Williams had a goal and an assist and Cormac McCabe and John Meyer each scored once.

 

Jackson Memorial 10, Red Bank 3

Junior attackman Sean Laverty had a hat trick and Santo Porazzo recorded two goals and two assists as the Jaguars (2-0) topped the Bucs (1-2).

Drew Walenty added a pair of goals and Joe Iacobone tallied a goal and three assists. Nick Perillo chipped in with a goal and an assist, Matt DeRosa scored once and Chad Szatkowski made nine saves.

Ryan McGee scored twice and Tor Haugenes scored once for Red Bank. Matt Gibson made11 saves.

 

Middletown North 10, Brick Memorial 9

Pete Abbes sank four goals with two assists and Joe Blackwood also scored four goals to help the Lions (2-1) edge the Mustangs (1-2).

Brayden Gazette added one goal and two assists, Quinn Aker scored once and Alec Zenker won 16 of 18 face-offs. Joey Dam made 12 saves and John Miranda picked up five ground balls.

Darren Romaine scored three goals and Matt Ingenito had two goals and three assists to lead Brick Memorial. Rex Freeman, Felipe Correia and Chris Marks each had a goal and an assist, Tyler Sindel scored once and Jake White made 15 saves.

 

 

NONCONFERENCE

No. 2 Rumson-Fair Haven 8, St. Peter’s Prep 6

Rowan Goldin, Patrick Jamin and Thomas Russo each scored twice as the Bulldogs (1-2) out-scored the Marauders 5-1 in the fourth quarter to pick up a solid road victory and earn their first win of the season.

Jamin also had two assists while Goldin and Russo each had one assist. Drew Shaw added a goal and two assists and Kiel Forlenza scored once. Ryan Croddick got the start in goal and made three saves to pick up the win. Tommy Swain went 6-for-9 on face-offs.

 

Holmdel 16, Hamilton West 3

Kyle Kapcsos scored five goals, Tom Ilvento had a hat trick and Justin Cohen notched a goal and four assists to lead Holmdel to a convincing win over Hamilton West.

Ryan Bradley contributed two goals and two assists while Dan Tempone totaled two goals and one assist while going 14-for-14 on face-offs and picking up 10 ground balls. Joe Hammer also scored twice, Evan Cohen had a goal and an assist and Nick Tuccillo made three saves.
