CLASS A NORTH

No. 8 Howell 10, Middletown South 5

Senior midfielder Nic Rossi scored a game-high four goals and added two assists as the Rebels (7-3, 3-1) defeated the Eagles (6-4, 2-1).

Junior attackman Ryan Damelio notched a hat trick with one assist and junior attackman Drew Bukowiec finished with two goals and a game-high three assists. Junior midfielder Nico Lorenzo chipped in with one goal and one assist and sophomore goalie Nick Roberto made nine saves.

 

No. 10 Freehold Township 14, Neptune 5

Sophomore attackman Chris Novella erupted for seven goals and one assist and junior attackman Drew Dunn had one goal and seven assists to lead the Patriots (5-3, 2-1) past the Scarlet Fliers (2-6, 0-4).

Junior attackman Josh Nastarowicz finished with three goals and three assists and freshman Aidan Purcell and sophomore Billy Patten each made three saves.

Tyler Rossi had one goal and one assist for Neptune and Seamus McAnee made six saves.

 

Colts Neck 11, Marlboro 0

Junior attackman Vinnie Gargiulo scored four goals and goalies Andrew Halmi and Mike Franco combined for the shutout as the Cougars (3-6, 3-1) blanked the Mustangs (2-7, 0-4).

Halmi, a senior, made 14 saves while Franco stopped three shots. Senior midfielder Jack Schaefer scored twice and had an assist, and junior midfielder Colin Scalea also scored twice. Sophomore attackman Nick Lago finished with one goal and one assist while senior attackman Chris Bisignano and sophomore midfielder Tyler Thomsen each scored once.

 

CLASS B NORTH

Shore 18, Red Bank Catholic 10

Sophomore attackman Ryan Morris exploded for nine points with six goals and three assists and freshman midfielder Gil Goldsmith had a hat trick and five assists to lead a furious offensive showing by the Blue Devils (6-3, 3-1), who downed the Caseys (5-4, 2-2) for their third straight win.

Senior midfielder Doug Goldsmith continued his tremendous season with two goals and five assists while senior Jack Britton scored four times with one assist. Freshman midfielder Jake Turner tallied a pair of goals, fellow freshman middie Jack McCrae finished with one goal and one assist and junior midfielder Ean Delehanty had one goal and a team-high five ground balls. Senior goalie Hunter Avallone made eight saves.

Senior midfielder Liam McArdle sank four goals along with one assist to lead Red Bank Catholic. Senior attackman Alec Mintz had three goals and one assist, senior midfielder Brett Habich scored twice and sophomore midfielder James Mele added a goal. Senior goalie Matt Benjamin made eight saves.

 

Red Bank 10, Holmdel 7

Senior midfielder Ryan Gilmartin scored four goals, senior midfielder Brian Fagan had a hat trick and senior attackman Cole Smolokoff tallied one goal and three assists to pace the Bucs (5-6, 3-2) in their victory over the Hornets (3-8, 3-3).

Junior attackman Karl Hottmann and sophomore attackman Dan Bonanno each scored once and senior goalie Jon Pierce mace 16 saves.

Junior midfielder Kevin Burmeister scored a game-high five goals and added one assist to lead Holmdel. Junior FOGO Jack Cook won 18 of 19 face-offs, picked up 16 ground balls and also had three assists. Junior midfielder Billy DiMaio finished with one goal and one assist and sophomore attackman Jake Preziose scored once. Senior goalie Mike Lubrano made 11 saves.

 

CLASS B SOUTH

No. 2 Manasquan 16, No. 7 Wall 5

Junior attackman Jarrett Birch scored four goals with one assist and junior midfielder Pat Felstedt tallied twice while assisting on four more goals as the Warriors (9-2, 3-0) ran past the rival Crimson Knights (7-2, 3-1).

Junior midfielder Devan Carroll finished with two goals and two assists and freshmen Canyon Birch and James Pendergist each scored twice. Junior FOGO Matt Thermann won 19 of 25 face-offs and junior goalie Tom Pollock made eight saves.

Senior attackman Mike Steppe scored three times for Wall.

 

Barnegat 14, Point Boro 6

Senior midfielder J.J. McKenna scored a game-high six goals and added two assists to power the Bengals (3-5, 2-1) past the Panthers (4-4, 1-2).

Senior midfielder Joe Jinks scored twice with three assists, sophomore midfielder Ryan Flaherty had two goals and two assists and senior attackman Ryan Reynolds added two goals and one assist. Senior Brendan Murphy and sophomore Dylan Corbett also scored for Barnegat, while junior goalie Kyle Kessinger made six saves.

 

NONCONFERENCE

Middletown North 12, Steinert 7

Senior attackman Bryan Flannigan registered three goals and two assists and senior Hayden Fairhurst also scored three times to lead the Lions (5-5) to victory over the Spartans (4-5).

Junior midfielder Brock Zenker scored a goal and had three assists, junior attackman Shawn Haskins scored twice and senior midfielder Khristian Acosta also struck for Middletown North. Junior goalie Jake Roche made five saves.

 

Bergen Catholic 8, No. 1 Rumson-Fair Haven 6

Senior attackman Robbie Garavente led the way for the Bulldogs (6-3) in defeat with three goals and one assist, including his 100th career goal. Senior attackman Griffin Schultz and junior midfielders Bryan Hess and Ryan Tuorto had one goal apiece. Tuorto also had an assist. Senior goalie Kyle Knapp made 12 saves.
