CLASS A SOUTH

Brick Memorial 8, Jackson Memorial 5

Senior attackman Billy Porter scored a game-high three goals and junior midfielders Zack Morton and Mike Mowder each scored twice as the undefeated Mustangs (7-0, 3-0) opened up a six-goal lead and held on to defeat the Jaguars (2-5, 0-3) for the first time in program history.

Junior defenseman Hunter Vojtko also scored while sophomore attackman Joey Ferrara and junior attackman Gavin Murphy each had two assists. Senior goalie Chris Sayers made 12 saves.

Santo Porazzo scored twice and Justin Mayer had one goal and one assist for Jackson Memorial, while junior goalie Dylan Furnback was excellent with 11 saves. Corey McKay and Dakota Negron also scored for the Jaguars.

 

Brick at Toms River South, 10 a.m.

 

CLASS B NORTH

Holmdel 15, Long Branch 0

Kevin Burmeister scored three goals and added one assist and Justin Arredondo also sank three goals to power the Hornets (2-6, 2-1) past the Green Wave (0-8, 0-4).

Frank Entwistle scored twice with two assists and Jack Cook had a goal and three assists while also winning 16 of 17 face-offs. John McCaulay and Jake Preziose each had one goal and two assists.

 

CLASS B SOUTH

Wall 12, Point Boro 0

Sophomore attackman Michael McIntyre scored a game-high five goals and senior attackman Mike Steppe had two goals and five assist as the Crimson Knights (5-1, 2-0) blanked the Panthers (3-3, 1-1).

Senior goalie Zach Harrell made nine saves to earn the shutout. Casey Foley added two goals and William Forte contributed a goal and an assist. Tim O'Hern finished with two assists.

 

Barnegat 8, St. Rose 7

Senior attackman Ryan Reynolds and senior midfielder J.J. McKenna each scored four goals to spearhead the Bengals' (2-4, 1-0) offense as they opened their divisional schedule with a win over the Purple Roses (1-3, 0-1).

Joe Jinks had three assists and Kyle Kessinger made 11 saves for Barnegat. Chris Bormida scored four goals for St. Rose, while Shane Reilly had two goals and Griffin McDermott scored once.

 

 

NONCONFERENCE

St. John Vianney 11, East Brunswick 4

Junior midfielder Ryan Gilfillan scored four times and added three assists, and senior goalie D.J. Soriano made 18 saves as the Lancers (5-2) topped the Bears (2-5) in an afternoon game in Holmdel.

Toms Hanson and Tino D'Amore each scored twice and Andrew Porretta had one goal and two assists. Conor Zielasnicki added one goal and one assist and Nick Moss had one goal for St. John Vianney.
