Seaview Orthopaedics Girls Basketball Week 2 Player of the Week

After a competitive first-round loss to Red Bank in the WOBM Classic, Wall bounced back with hard-fought wins over Central and Marlboro in the consolation round, with Tvrdik leading the way in both.

The junior threw in 15 points, five rebounds, three assists and three blocks in a 44-35 win over Central and followed that up with 12 points and nine rebounds in the 45-42 consolation win over Marlboro.

Since the season-opening loss to Red Bank, Wall has rattled off five straight wins and during her team's 5-1 start to the season, Tvrdik is averaging 12 points, 6.2 rebounds and 3.2 steals for the Crimson Knights.

Tvrdik won the first girls Player of the Week contest of 2022 by pulling away from a trio of contenders. Wall's junior standout won the contest with 32 percent of the vote, while Donovan Catholic junior Gabriella Ross took second with 19.5 and both Brooke McKown of Jackson Memorial and Mary Donnelly of Manasquan tied for third at 18.2 percent.

As the first Seaview Orthopaedics Player of the Week in girls basketball for the 2021-22 season, Tvrdik will be awarded a $25 gift card to Jersey Mike's.
