Junior Alex Bauman went off for a game-high 24 points and the Caseys rolled past the Green Wave to open up their season in winning fashion.

Junior C.J. Ruoff added 10 points and classmate Cyril Arvanitis poured in eight for Red Bank Catholic.

Senior Morgan Priester led Long Branch with 13 points and junior Christian Rodriguez added 10 in the loss.

No. 9 Rumson-Fair Haven 49, Red Bank 42 - Watch Live

Junior Geoff Schroeder scored 17 points and classmate Scott Gymesi added 15 points and 17 rebounds as the Bulldogs fought off the Bucs in Part I of the Battle of Ridge Road in 2021.

Rumson raced out to a 25-9 lead by the late stages of the second quarter before Red Bank stormed back with a 23-6 run that pushed the Bucs ahead, 32-31, heading to the fourth quarter.

Schroeder hit a pair of three-pointers to ignite an 8-0 run to open the fourth quarter and give the Bulldogs the lead for good, 39-32.

Junior Patrick Murray led Red Bank with 12 points.

Sophomore Jayden Holmes-Cotter posted 11 points and seven rebounds and senior Joe Lardaro put up 10 and eight to help lead the Patriots to an opening-night win over the Braves.

Junior Dante Barone led Manalapan with 14 points and senior Chris Frontera chipped in 11 in the loss.

Senior Alex Baker scored a game-high 23 points and the Hornets tamed the Cougars to open their season. Senior Kyle Polivka added 14 points, senior Ryan Bradley netted 13 and freshman James Vallillo debuted with 12 for Holmdel.

Sophomore Will Surdez led Colts Neck with 11 points.

No. 2 Ranney 60, No. 8 Neptune 52 - Watch Live

Sophomore Isaac Hester scored 17 points in his Ranney debut and the Panthers held off the Scarlet Fliers in a season opener between SSN Top 10 teams.

Junior Elijah Perkins added 15 points and senior Kyle Rhoden chipped in nine points, seven rebounds, three assists and two blocks for Ranney. Junior Ryan Zan scored all eight of his points in the first half for the Panthers.

Senior Sam Fagan scored 12 of his team-high 14 points while classmate Andre Harris poured in 11 for Neptune. Fagan knocked down four first-half three pointers and Harris canned three triples in the game.

Senior Andre Wells scored 20 points while grabbing seven rebounds and dishing out seven assists as the Huskies raced past the Lions to open their season.

Senior Ian Richardson added 17 points and sophomore Colin Haluska poured in 16 points to go with six rebounds for Matawan.

Senior Vinny Pennino scored 16 points and junior Lucas Cerbo threw in 14 to lead Middletown North.

Junior Ben Roy scored 19 of his game-high 24 points in the first half before finishing off his day in the third quarter as the Warriors routed the Purple Roses to open their season.

Roy buried three consecutive three-pointers to close out the first half, sending Manasquan to the locker room with a commanding 40-12 advantage.
