Jackson Memorial 44, Lacey 35

Senior Chris Hawryluk scored a game-high 21 points and the Jaguars (3-4, 2-2) topped the Lions (1-6, 0-4). Senior Vinny DellaVolla led Lacey with 14 points.

Southern 81, Brick Memorial 51

Senior Peyton Wejnert scored 29 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as the Rams (3-4, 1-2) turned in a dominant second half to pull away with a win over the Mustangs (1-5, 1-3). Southern took a six-point lead into the second half and blew the game open by outscoring Brick Memorial 25-7 in the third quarter.

Senior Ethan Dubois chipped in eight points, seven rebounds and eight assists, while sophomore Jake Dubois added 10 points, five rebounds and two steals in the win.

Elie Lavarin led Brick Memorial with 11 points and Dave Clark and Darius Richards contributed 10 points apiece.

Toms River East 83, Brick 63

Junior Phil Lingat scored a game-high 22 points and the Raiders (5-1, 3-0) once again dominated a Class A South opponent, this time handing the Green Dragons (4-2, 3-1) their first division loss of the season.

Senior Ryan West poured in 15 points and senior Carlos Lingat netted 12 in the win. Seniro Bailey Engelhard also pitched in nine points and eight rebounds for Toms River East.

Junior Brandon Williams and freshman Shane Williams each scored 13 points to lead Brick.

No. 5 Toms River North 78, Toms River South 51

Junior Jaden Rhoden led four Toms River North players in double-figure scoring with 17 points and 12 Mariners players scored in a win over the rival Indians (3-3, 1-2).

Rhoden added seven assists, while senior Hunter Petrick scored 15 points and juniors Darrion Carrington and Mike Nyisztor chipped in 13 points apiece. Carrington also handed out eight assists for Toms River North (6-1, 3-0).

Senior Tyler Fall led Toms River South with a game-high 22 points and junior Justin Fall added 13 in defeat.

 

Class B North

No. 7 Neptune 58, Red Bank Catholic 51

The Scarlet Fliers (3-4, 2-2) overcame a 10-point halftime deficit to hand the Caseys (2-6, 1-4) their sixth straight loss and snap a three-game skid of their own.

 

Class B Central

Point Beach 61, Keyport 39

Sophomore Chris Pina scored 17 too lead a balanced scoring attack and the Garnet Gulls (2-4, 1-3) topped the Red Raiders (2-4, 1-3). Sophomore Trevor Covey added 14 points and senior Alex Mrusek poured in 11 in the win. Senior Jimmy Panzini also netted nine points.

Senior Travis Alvarez led Keyport with a game-high 18 points and junior Brendan O'Brien added 13 in defeat.

No. 2 Mater Dei Prep 95, Keansburg 26

Senior Nyke McCombs led five Mater Dei players in double-figure scoring with 20 points and the Seraphs (5-1, 4-0) routed the Titans (0-6, 0-4).

Senior Kyle Elliot added 19 points and junior Elijah Barnes poured in 17 for Mater Dei. Senior Josh Green pumped in 13 points and junior Elijah Mitchell netted 11 for the Seraphs.

St. Rose 54, Henry Hudson 46

Junior Brendan Hueth scored 15 points and the Purple Roses (4-4, 3-1) held off the Admirals (3-3, 1-3) to climb back to the .500 mark. Senior Anthony Larue led Henry Hudson with a game-high 16 points.

 

Class B South

No. 4 Lakewood 56, Central 41

Senior Amir Tyler scored 28 points and the Piners (5-2, 4-0) beat the Golden Eagles (2-5, 1-3) to extend their winning streak within Class B South play to 43. Senior Sean Barksdale added 10 points for Lakewood.

Junior Maks Gruszecki led Central with 11 points and senior Dennis Corbin added 10 in the loss.

Point Boro 69, Jackson Liberty 54

Senior Mike Licchio scored a game-high 17 points to help lead the Panthers (4-3, 2-2) to a win over the Lions (2-4, 1-3). Junior Pat Feehan added 12 points for Point Boro and sophomore John Duda chipped in 11 in the win.

Senior Julson Badushov led Jackson Liberty with 15 points and Nico Montano chipped in nine in the loss.

Donovan Catholic 55, Barnegat 37

Senior Riley Collins scored a game-high 25 points to go with four assists and four steals and the Griffins (5-3, 3-1) rolled to a win over the Bengals (2-5, 0-4) to snap a three-game skid. Senior Nick Camarato led Barnegat with 18 points.

 

Non-Conference

Raritan 73, Marion P. Thomas 42

Senior Eddie Tynion scored 17 points to lead Raritan's senior trio and the Rockets (6-1) handled Marion Thomas. Senior Joe Strand added 14 points and senior Jordan Smith pitched in 12 in the win.
