Class A North

No. 2 CBA 81, Freehold Twp. 58

Sophomore Pat Andree scored 23 points and junior Jack Laffey added 19 to help lead the Colts to their 10th straight Class A North win this season. CBA trailed 32-30 at halftime - he first time the Colts have trailed to an A North opponent at intermission - but outscored Freehold Township 29-10 in the third quarter.

Senior Rob Kennedy scored eight of his 13 points in the third and also added 10 rebounds and seven assists. Senior Evan Gordinier added 11 points off the bench for CBA.

Junior Jason Czajkowski led four Patriots in double-figures with 13 points. Senior Chris Talbott, senior Jordan McGill and junior Kyle Czajkowski each scored 10 points in the loss.

 

Class A Central

Shore 77, Holmdel 59

Senior Dan Pillari scored 34 points and the Blue Devils beat the Hornets for their sixth straight win. Junior Jack Byrne scored 12 points and junior Dan Largey added 10 for Shore. Junior Jeff Harris led Holmdel with 23 points.

 

Class A South

Brick Memorial 56, Toms River East 47

Junior Aaron Scheiderman scored 24 points to lead the Mustangs to a win over the Raiders. Sophomore Ryan West led Toms River East with 13 points while senior C.J. Hirschy added 11.

No. 10 Jackson Memorial 57, Toms River South 47

Senior Eric Carter scored 19 points and junior Jesse Hill added 18 as the Jaguars beat the Indians for the second time in five days. Junior Gino Palummo chipped in 11 points for Jackson, while junior Khaleel Green led Toms River South with a game-high 20 points.

 

Class B North

Ocean 70, No. 9 Red Bank 60

Sophomore Jake Talarico scored a game-high 21 points on seven 3-pointers and the Spartans knocked off the Bucs. Senior Chris Seager and sophomore Ruquan Dean each added 16 points for Red Bank, while sophomore Sadiq Palmer led Red Bank with 13 points.

 

Class B Central

St. Rose 69, Keansburg 44

Senior Dan Borner scored a game-high 27 points and the Purple Roses topped the Titans on the road. Senior Matt Skea added 11 points for St. Rose, while senior Shawn Woods led Keansburg with 12 points. The Purple Roses held Titans leading scorer Kason Preston, who has four 30-plus-point games this season, to 11 points.

 

Non-Division

Toms River North 58, Henry Hudson 40

Junior Jordan Craig scored 16 points and junior Evan Martin poured in 12 to help lead the Mariners to a win over the Admirals. Sophomore Chris Coberg led Henry Hudson with 15 points while senior Jaxon Terrell chipped in 12.

Red Bank Catholic 78, Wall 65

Senior Quenton Nelson scored 23 points and sophomore Evan Madigan added 22 as the Caseys topped the Crimson Knights.  Junior Brendan Barcas led Wall with 20 points, while junior Ryan Janeczek added 13 in the loss.

No. 1 Point Beach 65, Middletown North 30

Senior Dom Uhl scored 23 points and the Garnet Gulls routed the Lions to remain unbeaten (15-0). Senior Matt Farrell added 14 points and senior Noah Yates poured in 13 in the win.

No. 5 Lakewood 65, Neptune 42

Senior Maurice Diawara scored 19 points and the Piners coasted past the Scarlet Fliers, snapping Neptune's four-game winning streak. Senior Dan Niblack poured in 17 points for Lakewood, while sophomore Amir Tyler added 12 points to go with a stellar defensive effort against Neptune leading scorer Shakeem Richardson.

Richardson and junior Diondre Dunn led Neptune with 12 points each.

 

Non-Conference

Jackson Liberty 63, Calvary Academy 37

Gage Corson buried six 3-pointers and finished with 20 points as the Lions rolled to a win over Calvary Academy. Senior Mike Healy chipped in 13 points for Jackson Liberty.

St. John Vianney 53, Allentown 41

Senior Ray Gabeau scored 17 points and pulled down 15 rebounds to lead the Lancers to a win over the Redbirds. Senior Matt Grenger added 12 points and senior Vinny Facchino had 11 in the win.

East Brunswick 78, Middletown South 40
