Class A South

Jackson Memorial 56, Brick 48

Senior forward Andrew Trent scored a game-high 20 points and grabbed 7 rebounds to help the Jaguars (9-10, 6-8) surprise the Green Dragons (13-8, 7-7).

Senior center Nick Barba added 14 points and 10 rebounds, and senior Ryan Lucas chipped in 10 points and 6 rebounds in the win. Sophomore Shane Williams was the only Brick scorer in double figures with 11 points.

Toms River North 57, Toms River South 39

The Mariners (22-1, 14-0) finished unbeaten in Class A South for the second straight season as senior Jaden Rhoden had 12 points and 10 rebounds, Holden Petrick and Travvis Holland added 10 points and Darrion Carrington had 10 points and 8 assists in a win over the Indians (5-14, 4-10).

Senior guards Denzel Wilson and Matt Shiffer had 13 and 10 points, respectively, in the loss for the Indians.

Central 57, Brick Memorial 55

Senior Maks Gruszecki scored 21 points and senior Denis Corbin added 17 points and 16 rebounds to help the Golden Eagles edge the Mustangs. Senior Anthony Petit-Clair added 12 points for Central.

Junior Anthony Argondizza led Brick Memorial with 19 points.

 

Class B Central

Keyport 71, Henry Hudson 48

Senior forward Brendan O'Brien poured in a game-high 24 points to lead four scorers in double figures as the Red Raiders (8-14, 4-10) rolled to a win over the Admirals (1-21, 1-13).

Senior guard Chris Hogrefe added 15 points, senior guard Cody Young chipped in 13, and junior forward Colin Hernandez had 10 for Keyport.

Sophomore guard Jay Anthony led Henry Hudson with 13 points, senior Brendan Carlstrom had 12, and senior guard Tom Colantino added 11.

 

Class B South

Barnegat 53, Jackson Liberty 40

Junior guard Mike Revello tied his season high by pouring in 27 points, including 17 in the second half when the Bengals (14-8, 8-6) outscored the Lions 30-16 to pull away for the win.

Senior guard David Orozco added 10 points for Barnegat. Nico Montano had 9 points to lead the Lions (5-16, 3-11).

Point Boro 61, Lacey 33

 

Non-Division

Manasquan 51, St. Rose 48

Senior Devin Jensen scored 19 points and the Warriors (14-8) held on to beat the Purple Rose (14-9) for the second time this season. Junior Ryan Flanagan also helped preserve the win by blocking an attempted three-pointer just before time expired.

Senior Brendan Hueth led St. Rose with 14 points.

CBA 64, Red Bank Catholic 54

Sophomore Josh Cohen led four CBA players in double-figure scoring with 21 points anf the Colts (13-9) beat the Caseys (13-8) to win the first edition of the Founders' Cup between the two local rivals.

Junior Rob Mahala poured in 15 points for CBA and sophomore Stephen Braunstein netted 10. Sophomore Liam Kennedy also scored 11 points in his first game back since injuring his ankle against Colts Neck on Feb. 2.

Senior Terence Calandrillo, junior John Kelly and freshman Charlie Gordinier all scored 11 points to lead Red Bank Catholic.

Long Branch 67, Neptune 61 (3OT)

Sophomore Marc Dennis scored 29 points to go with nine rebounds, six assists and three steals as the Green Wave pulled out a triple-overtime win over the Scarlet Fliers. Junior Tyree Morris also added 19 points and six rebonds for Long Branch.

Senior Jules Calhoun scored 18 points and seven rebounds to lead Neptune before fouling out. Calhoun was one of five Neptune starters to foul out, a trio that also included junior Scott Fields and junior Seth Harrington. Fields finished with 11 points and 11 rebounds and Harrington poured in nine.

Junior Jared Kimbrough also posted 13 points and 27 rebounds for Neptune.

 

Non-Conference

East Brunswick 48, Red Bank 32

Devin Cooper was the only player in double figures with 12 points for the Bucs (8-12), who fell to a Bears team led by 17 points from Dante Ralph.

Immaculata 58, St. John Vianney 41

Ryan Simmons had  a game-high 14 points as the Lancers (7-15) fell to the Spartans.
