Returning Shore Sports Network All-Shore Boys Basketball Players

First Team

Matt Hodge, Sr., 6-8, Forward, St. Rose

Hodge came to the U.S. from Belgium along with his younger brother, Jayden, and took the Shore by storm. He averaged 14.8 points, 9.6 rebounds, four assists, 1.75 steals and 1.4 blocks while shooting close to 60 percent from the field during his junior campaign. Beyond the individual stats, Hodge was the best player on the first St. Rose team to ever reach the Shore Conference Tournament semifinals and the first to win an NJSIAA sectional championship in two decades. Hodge signed to play at Villanova next season and will be one of the state's top talents as he leads a loaded St. Rose team looking to finish No. 1 -- both at the Shore and in all of New Jersey.

Ryan Frauenheim, Sr., 5-9, Guard, Manasquan

Frauenheim experienced the highest of highs after enduring the most painful loss imaginable for a person his age. After losing his mother to cancer just before the start of his junior season, Frauenheim was Manasquan's emotional leader as well as its most clutch performer during a season that saw the Warriors win a third Shore Conference Tournament title in four years before winning their first ever NJSIAA Group II championship. Frauenheim posted 11.3 points, 5.1 assists and 1.3 steals during his junior season.

Frauenheim's mental toughness will again come in handy during his senior year, which he will miss due to a torn ACL he suffered during the summer. This is the second time in three years Manasquan lost a senior point guard to a torn ACL before the season, with two-time Player of the Year Ben Roy going down just before the 2021-22 season. Just as Roy mentored Frauenheim that year, Frauenheim will have a similar role this winter.

Second Team

Jaycen Santucci, Jr., 6-4, Guard/Forward, Central

Santucci is just entering the second half of his high-school career and as a sophomore, he averaged 17.8 points, 7.7 rebounds and 2.5 steals while leading Central to 20 wins, a Class B South co-championship and a trip to the Shore Conference Tournament quarterfinals for the first time since 1994.

Third Team

Micah Ford, Sr., 6-1, Forward, Toms River North

Ford will go down as one of the best football players to come out of the Shore Conference in the last two decades and he is quite the basketball player as well. As a junior, Ford posted 14.5 points, 8.7 rebounds and 2.2 steals per game while helping to lead Toms River North to a Class A South championship and Shore Conference Tournament quarterfinal appearance.

Zayier Dean, Jr., 5-10, Guard, Red Bank

One of the Shore's most dynamic guards, Dean transferred to Red Bank for this season after two productive seasons at Ocean. As a sophomore, Dean poured in 17.2 points per game to go with 6.3 rebounds and 2.4 assists and will look to take the Bucs to the next level this season against a challenging schedule.

Miles Chevalier, Sr., 6-3, Guard, Central

Along with Santucci, Chevalier was part of one of the Shore's top duos in 2022-23. After putting up 17.2 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.0 steals per game, Chevalier is closing in on 1,000 career points as he looks to lead Central to its best season since the last turn of the century.

All-Shore Final Vote

Griffin Linstra, Jr., 6-5, Guard, Manasquan

Playing on a team with two First Team All-Shore guards in Darius Adams and Frauenheim, Linstra handled much of the unsung work on both ends of the floor. He averaged seven points, 7.2 rebounds and 2.5 assists and routinely guarded the best player on the opposing team -- no small task considering the strength of Manasquan's schedule.
